Premium MemberFire In The Tongue

Unkept promises are hard blows
that hit the psyche unexpecting.
Unkind words are harsh slashes
that rip through the essence undeserving.

The mind becomes the fire in the wild,
burns the gentle patience as it flares.
Uncontrolled, it boils the blood,
undowsed, it singes the sane senses.

The scorching words stoke the fire,
the smoke billows up thick and intense,
clouds the disbalanced conscience.
Words rise like Sphinx from toxic ashes,
perish the patient face of restraint.

The flame surges in the stream of neurons,
no longer the carrier of forgiveness signals.
The mind turns into volcanic inferno,
erupting fiery lava called anger to flow
in torrents of blistering apathy,
scalding whatever comes in the way,
blazes a furrow in the timid life.

Identity

IDENTITY

I just want to be who I am, or even to know
Living this modern life is like being in armour
True freedom, now merely a fading memory
Following the script like a long running drama
But perhaps something out of this might grow

Personality, misshaped by many laws and rules
So what then, does individuality mean anyway
There’s a chest of treasures locked up inside me
That in this age, may never see the light of day
In our millions we’re numb, and acting as fools

Can it even be safe to release the unknown beast
That prowls and explores this unexpecting world
It might be a cute little mewling thing that blinks
And if threatened, huddles like a flag that’s furled
But it still deserves it’s freedom at the very least

Yet maybe this is mere hesitancy and speculation
The first challenge I must face, is to know myself
To be embraced for what I am, or could become
In life’s mission to discover all that hidden wealth
And to have caused at least a minor perturbation

Premium MemberSilent Survivor

The depth of life
Mystery having a history
Untold story
The life of one person
Hardships
Beaten words that were never torn
Angry thorns
Unexpecting eruptions within
Approaching storms
Names beyond given
No appreciative centerpiece
Remaining strong and holding one’s own
Fought individual battles and wondered about victories
Newer complaining
Silent voice within the heart
Fortress
A story no one knew
But no matter what, head up and pursue
Man up
The moment was always the place
No pause
Smiled through circumstances
Tacked situations head on
No choice just responses
Actions
Still here
It will always be
Chosen to survive
Learning experiences in strive
A story told
Bold and behold
Survival chances

Premium MemberCotton Ball Cloud

A cotton ball cloud drifting overhead
Suddenly becomes a miniature poodle,
Then dancing slowly, like a newlywed
Becomes a pompom for Yankee Doodle.

Disappearing like an aloof desert mirage
In an updraft completely unexpecting
Silently pours upward in a sudden barrage
Invisible danger in nature unsuspecting.

Vanishing, as we say, into cold thin air.
No longer discernible to our naked eyes
Who goes where high-flying clouds dare
When they choose to blithely vaporize.

From whence they come, what shape
They show us for our imaginary games
We who marvel at them, mouths agape
We seldom even know their real names.

Carnivore

Alligator scouts still pond,
unobserved his stealth movements
until thrashing body leaps,
sharp teeth tearing unexpecting prey

Premium MemberFive Hearts

I am a man born with two hearts,
So I have an excuse...
To love everything in twos,
From beautiful women to mixing top-shelf booze.

I even drive two cars,
One for 'to' and one for 'fro',
And for my education,
It's two degrees, wouldn't you know?

But one day I was challenged,
By a woman that was born with three!
Her mode of operation is quite different,
As observed by me...

She avoided the number as she lived,
Raising a total of four kids.
And for marriages, she had five,
By many unexpecting guys.

When flowers she would put on display,
It would be six or seven, but never three.
And many Gods she would praise,
Was she indeed mocking me?!?

I began to realize how silly it is,
So I now roll as if my two hearts are one.
And I feel as if...
My life has just begun!

Naughty But Nice

Beware of whats in front of you
Not everything appears true
Walking around sugar town

Sweet old lady living up the hill
Offers you a drink and slip in a pill
Invites you in when your feeling sick
Then kills you dead for her fix

Careful who you trust
Suspicion is a must
Walking around sugar town

A group of kids play in the park
A closer look hits you hard
Misguided youths throwing knives
With no respect for passerby

Things you see
You cannot believe
Walking around sugar town

Security gaurd on street patrol
Mysteriously walking too slow
Looking for an unexpecting victim
To hit on the head and steal their things

Open your eyes and look hard
What you see will break your heart
Walking around sugar town

Young lovers cuddle on a bench
Second looks witness needles stretched
Not playing an innocent game
Zombified idiots in drug shame

Dont always think its all nice
Naughtiness will take you by surprise
Walking around sugar town

The Devils Triangle

South Atlantic an ancient and
ominous death trap awaits unexpecting
ships and planes and tonight it has
claimed many lives again...well it is a
mystery that most likely will remain
unexplained buried deep in sin...however
I have heard it’s the remnants of Atlantis
and a great and powerful crystal...a portal
to another dimension well whatever it is
I don't believe it's a myth or any kind of
delusion...out of the blue come a green and
sinister fog spanning San Juan, Bermuda
and Miami engulfing the Sargasso sea
well I pray God watches over you in your
ship or plane as you enter and cross
over The Devils Triangle and his demonic
waters!

An Abecedarian Advice

An unexpecting
Beauty lies on
Critics' eyes.
Do expect
Enormous evaluation
For every opinion
Going around
Has basis and
Is true,
Just stick to what you
Know the truth.
Love them
More than they hate you
Not because you have to
Or you should too,
People will judge and
Question you.
Respect them,
Spill only fact,
Truth will set you free
Under any control and
Vulgar accusation.
Winning is for you
Xylophone hymns will do.
You will achieve it by
Zippering your mouth too.

Truth Be Told

Truth be told I miss you,
I miss the nights we'd talk,
And the laughs we'd share,
The immense power we would shift,
from one cosmic half of the earth,
To the other,
Transforming,
transfixed on each other,
and finding another plane of existence.
Truth be told I miss you,
I miss the love we shared,
freely and openly,
no questions asked,
no thought as to right or wrong,
Age was never a factor,
Distance could be quelled,
With just a thought,
and I would feel your arms,
wrap with strength around me,
And fall into their serenity.
Truth be told I miss you,
I miss thinking of you late at night,
wondering if I'm also on your mind,
I miss the beautiful friendship we have,
unrestrained, unexpecting, simple.
Truth be told,
I miss you.

Gratefulness

1.Heaven and earth unequal
to undone help.
2.Tiny help timely done
greater than earth.
3.Help, unexpecting profits
greater than ocean.
4.Millet size help seems
Palmyra for known.
5.Thankfulness unequals help but
nobility of receiver.
6.Remember immaculate relation, preserve
ally’s grief help.
7.Cleaver remembers succour even
in future existence.
8.Ever remember good help
forget harm instant.
9.Earlier noble act makes
forgiving lethal injury.
10.Salvaging, possible for crimes
ungrateful can not.

I Fell In Love With You

I fell in love with
you during the
nights that had lost
their prominence
I fell in love with
you during the times
when darkness lit up
the night
During the times
when my heart had no
place to hide
I fell in love with
you, when sad poems
caressed your lips

I fell in love with
you when my
loneliness became my
hurdle
I fell in love with
you on the day that
your eyes were lost
in mine
When an orphaned
love had become
trapped in my heart,
I fell in love with
you when wild rivers
had been tamed
within me.

I fell in love with
you, with your
honest and
unexpecting manner
I fell in love with
you with a slight
pain that trickled
from my eyes to my
heart
While running step
by step to
loneliness with you
I fell in love with
you on the nights
that I was alone
with your dream

I fell in love with
you, in the middle
of a rainy night
I fell in love with
you, without any
limits on my love
Within my damned
words and unbounded
heart
I fell in love with
you, in the center
of all that was
forbidden

Gatopap

My Pilsbury baker.
Bold rumpshaker.
Peppermint fizz. You tell it like it is.
Confronting people hiding who owes you money.
Knocking on doors at 2 A.M. That's your biz.
Blurting out shocking announcements like an unexpecting quiz.
Your whole entire being from head to toe is soft.
And your innocent sweetness instantly melts everyone's heart.
We love you Gatopap, our big yellow marshmallow.

Child Sexual Abuse

Children;
Helpless, and unexpecting.
Innocent then innocence taken away.
Loving and trusting children being made to
Do things against their will and having
Sexual things done to them.
Evil revealing itself in different ways and
X-pecting children not to say anything. an
Unkind and uncaring human being torturting
A defenseless, innocent child.
Long lasting effects of the
Abuse is what the survivor will endure all
Because some people are just plain sick and
Uncaring. full of threat
Sexual predators stay away; we wish. there's no
Excuse for hurting and sexual abusing a child.

The Death Angel

The Death Angel-Noah Holden

Death is so lonely, unexpecting, depressing and grim,

The Death Angel is among us everyday even though we can’t see him,

Taking any living things life is the Death Angel’s role,

When your time on this earth is up the Death Angel will reap your soul,

The Death Angel’s robes are as dark as the pits of hell,

He is a soul deliverer, standing tall his skin so very pale,

He walks among us with his robes, sickle and hood,

He will take you out and touch you with death and your heart will stop for good,

The Death Angel will take you to your eternal resting place,

He will take you no matter your age, religion, height or race,

The Death Angel works everyday without a single break,

When he comes to see you, your soul is all he’ll take,

One day you’ll appear on the Death Angel’s list,

Your life as you know it will be dismissed.
