Blinded by the light
Riding my bike in the middle of the night
Pity my plight
I ran over the foot of a runner in the night

I admitted my flaw, but then we both saw
a UFO with 2 diplomats

A tractor beam pulled my bike and our hats.

It started as a quiet day..
The sun was bright, the sky was gray.
Then shadows stretched across the ground..
A humming noise, a buzzing sound.

The TV flickered, phones went dead..
A chilling static filled our heads.

From metal ships so vast and tall..

In the cosmos where colors collide/
 Under a canvas of vibrant pink and purple tide two abstract figures, hats tilted just so/
 Stand tall in the galaxy, putting on a show/
 Geometric shapes dance in a minimalist spree, Jazz notes shine like stars, wild and free/ 
Are they space lamp illuminators, or comedians in flight?

A Night In The Middle Of A Night

Inhabited by intelligent life
Free of fear and doubt

I only observe these beings 
Who become more strange, 
Yet, their demeanor over time

Seeing My First Ufo

it was a balmy night
Kansas was ridiculously muggy
hottest July in recorded history
I stared into the night sky
anticipating something, yet not knowing what
irregular lights appeared above the tree line to the west
I stared as they looped and twirled in a strange way
no ordinary aircraft
was I seeing a UFO?
I yelled for my husband, but he did not

I believe UFO exist it would be strange if they didn´t
considering the many planets in the vast galaxy.
I have not seen a UFO person close up with the exception 
of my face in the morning before coffee.
The picture I have seen is always at a distance 
and tend to be grainy.
