Track Record

Promises now fade,
Deeds of past speak volumes loud,
Future's shape is known.

Goliath was a big threat to Israel
A giant with intimidating records
Of military prowess which turned Israelite soldiers
To a bunch of faithless cowards
And to an army of lily livered derelicts
As they capitulated in fear
And let the sleeping dog lie
While Goliath had his fill
Threatening God’s own army
But it took a lively faith and just a stone
To bring the mountain of a giant
Crashing to a disgraceful end
As David used faith as heavenly currency
To purchase heavenly grace
And brought the boastful philistine
To a dismal end
Are you faced with any life’s challenges?
Look back with faith on God’s track record in your life
And be filled with amazing strength and power
To overcome all Goliaths threatening your very existence

As it is where do we stand in the face of fear? Fear for a child, a parent, a loved one or a peer!

How do we rationalise the chances we take? A soldier may die in the experience he or she makes. But, that’s what their training and mindset are prepared to accept in the worst case.

A nurse is now obliged to risk all to save us. Do we accept this or ask why is the state of the nation so morally unjust?

We can’t carry on with an attitude of success at all costs. Foolish statements made to bolster a nations ego have already and could result in too much needless loss!

The schools are everything important for a nation to exist. Education, education, education is so important for opportunities and success to persist.

Our track record on listening to the experts shows that we think we know what’s best? But this time it’s schools of children, support staff and teachers that will face the most serious of tests!

Love Shy

This situation can't be real
I don't know how I should feel
Emotions are on high alert
Not sure if I should just dessert
This prAedicament I'm in
Causing me to run again
Or stay and see where it will lead
My track record to succeed
With finding a love so true
Has only left me sad and blue
So as you approach so near
I am like a scared shy deer
Cautiously sensing the danger
Of this big and burly stranger
Moving toward me very slow
My defenses start to grow
I'm clenching up in a tight
Weakened scared ball of fright
Not sure what my heart should do
As I'm now looking at you
You greet me with a soft hello
As you say your name so low
Holding out your hand to shake
I feel something as I take
Your trembling hand in mine
I could sense you tryna find
A love for your heart like me
Maybe it was destiny
Bringing lonely souls together
I'm now floating like a feather
As we talk about our pasts
Time is flying by so fast
Into morning as we both
Are hit with a lightening bolt
Of love shocking both our hearts
To learn how to finally start
Knowing what true love really is
Handshakes lead to passionate kiss

Love Songs

Love songs

I hate hearing love songs
When I’m not in love
I know
Sometimes you win
Sometimes you lose
With my track record
I am ready to throw in the towel
Surrender
Surrender to all the disappointments
surrender
Surrender to breaking hearts
I mean
I did give it a shot
Love
I gave it a few chances
I have stepped out of my comfort zone
To love unselfishly
But that didn’t work
I tried to love selfishly
That didn’t work either
I do
I really do understand
The ups and downs of relationships
Such as life
PERIOD
I am tired of hearing all those love songs
When I am not in love
Oh he looked into my eyes
and there were no lies
Or
Your love is all I need
You give good love
Love
Ugh!
As time moves on
Age grows
Who knows
If I will ever find that someone
That special one
To bond with
To grow old with
Resting my head on love one chest
Listening at their heart beat
Holding hands
Laughing
Talking
Cuddling
Embracing
Yeah
Yeah
But as of now
I hate hearing love songs
When I’m not in love

A leopard's a leopard, make no mistake.
He'll always have those black spots;
And if you think for a moment he'll change,
Clear thinking's not something you've got.

A leopard's a creature who seeks till he finds,
A good opportunity.
Don't think for a moment 'cause you've scratched his ears,
You've gained some immunity.

He is what he is and always will be.
He'll never be anything else.
Don't turn your back on a leopard my friend.
His track record speaks for itself.

Buzzy noise
This and that issue;
Viral propaganda

~~~~~~~~~
We the people
Need more money;
Is that funny?
~~~~~~~~~

Polling booth
Simple truth;
Who dares wins?

~~~~~~~~~
Talk of town
Non-event sinking;
Stray voices pitch
~~~~~~~~~

A good turnout
Yours for the taking;
Mandate to lead

~~~~~~~~~
Good track record
Facts speak loudly;
Wet blankets galore
~~~~~~~~~

Lots to say
More to hear;
Dangling carrots

~~~~~~~~~
Premium Member Am I a Jinx
The dictionary says that a jinx
is one who brings bad luck
and to jinx someone or some thing
is “To foredoom to failure or misfortune.”
 Unfortunately, my track record
would indicate that I am one
who is subject to an unlucky force,
and this connotation brings on words
like hex, curse, spell, voodoo, sabotage,
and phrases such as evil eye, unlucky charm,
kiss of death, and one I'd never heard before,
“Point the bone at.”
Not that I'm superstitious or anything,
but if I point a finger at you,
you might want to run!
Unfinished
Can you enlarge the moment,
when the time stopped and
you were trying to get a
glimpse of beyond ?
You become a no-moment, a
no-truth , in a sauteed
******.
And someone plucks a death
from your poems to
resuscitate you, draped
in tears.
The track record will show,
you were only yourself,
and never became a riddle.
Let go of me. It was only
a happening, undoing the
play, held in dark. As I
cross the door, you become invisible.
Be Still and Know That I Am God
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am God
A God that can deliver
And give you Joy like a river
Be still and know that I am God
With conviction, he will let you know
Right from wrong
And in your heart God will
Give you a new song
Be still and know that I am God
With my voice, I will Praise God in advance
I know that he will give me a second chance
Be still and know that I am God
In Psalms 23, the Bible says, The Lord is my Shepard
With God I have a track record
Be still and know that I am God
The Bible says to rebuke the devil and he will flee
Pray that God will give you
Discernment to see
Be still and know that I am God
The Lord gave you the Power
To cast the devil out
Lift up your hands, and Praise
The Lord with a shout
Be still and know that I am God
My Weakness
What more can I say...
so many thoughts running threw my mental I dont even
know where to start but I'll touchdown on just one.
I'm weak to alot of things but only submitting to one, I'm
@ a stand still but I'm confused not knowing if the ppl in
my life now should stay here or not. I'm good @ cutting
ppl off so my track record with ppl let alone women isn't
good but I tell myself it just wasn't meant to be, I believe
that, especially those who were unequally yoked with me.
Its not the best feeling in the world to make decisions
that will potentially hurt that person but not many ppl
can lie to theirself...I'm one of those ppl...so what do I do,
I put the one weakness that I'm submitting to over every
one of my other ones and let the story write itself
because truth is I'm weak so...I weep on knowing that
If you catch someone in a lie time after time how can you continue to trust him to
tell the truth?
If someone says he is FOR something to you and says he is AGAINST it to someone
else, which do you believe?
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, makes a noise like a duck and hangs out
with a bunch of ducks chances are it ain't no swan.
Control
Remote controls are funny things
Then, maybe it’s just me
I wave it around for hours
But, still can’t get channel three
It will always find the menu
For the treble and the bass
If remote controls were human
I would slap them in the face
Remote controls are not my thing
Perhaps its my technique
If they could make one voice controlled
I’d only have to speak
It would follow my instructions
And obey them to the letter
A voice controlled remote control
Things couldn’t get much better
I’d shout out my instructions
“Change the channel, fifty four
The volumes far too low now
Turn the sound up, give me more”
If they made this little gadget
Then there’s something I’d be fearing
That knowing my track record
I’d get one that’s hard of hearing
