Come out of the darkness, stand in the light.
Speak from your heart and give us insight.
Don’t treat us like animals lured by honey.
Saying you care and you’ll give us your money.
Offer instead, a small thread of hope,
A plan to slow, illegal immigration, guns, dope.
Shore up our borders, build a great wall,
Help the murder and theft totals to fall.
Give us a chance, a dream we can earn.
The legal citizenship for which our hearts do yearn.
Make America great, let us be a part.
Workers can stay, would be a good start.
Think of others, give up your greed.
We’re just asking for the things that we need.

Got to put writing aside for a bit
Need to get the bookwork done
The taxman is waiting
He wants the numbers
With dollar signs in front
He doesn't care that he's taking me away
From my love of words
He just wants me to be done
By a certain day
So he can take my money....
I usually enjoy doing bookwork
It's a task I don't find dreary
Exercising brain muscles
But my mind can't stay focussed
Stray thoughts meander
Coming between columns of figures
Addition, multiplication, subtraction
Division, percentages and totals
Have flown away to the other side of the universe
Grab the nearest piece of paper
Pen in hand and start writing frantically
...OOPS...
Back to figuring again
Where was I?
Trying to keep my brain on a leash
But like a creek in a downpour
It runs everywhere but where it's meant to
A flash of a word
That's what I was looking for!
A whole new verse scrambles through my brain
Scrawling it onto paper as quick as I can
I WILL get the bookwork done
Eventually...

A belated happy Mother's day
Apologies for a day's delay
And since there's no known cure for celebration
I know you are still under the effects of the occasion
For a mother is a mother on mother's day
And any other day that is anyone's birthday
Which ranges from any day and totals to everyday
And since a day can't host everyday, we appreciate day to day
May the children be blessed that ye may be proud
To make empires out of inheritance and nations out of a crowd
To reign, find favour and be unbowed
To bequeath and to be endowed
Long live the long living of motherhood
From whence the count of life begins for every brood
They have filled the earth till it has become the land of the living
All manner of people in their knowing, proving, doubting and believing
And to the one that set apart the second Sunday of May
Who obviously must have been a man I must say
Blessed be his mother too
And blessed be our mothers too.

The prior POTUS, and current SCOTUS,
Have caused a great deal of debate.
While many wonder of our democracy,
And its survival amidst all sorts of hate.
This has given our congressional body,
Little room to discuss and legislate.
Since they are so far apart on most issues,
Their views can't meet to regulate.
So as these 3 branches of our government,
Appear damaged and needing repair.
A once powerful republic with its voters,
Are in a fight to decide what is fair.
What is most frightening about this conflict,
Is that the majority isn't favored, as in the past.
As those numbers counted present different totals,
And those sums seem to waver as they're cast.
Such damage gives only to division,
A widening chasm for truth to cross.
While candidates throw their sticks & stones
Though a few look more like a crime boss.
Throughout the many years of this nation,
Its greatness was beyond question, until now.
Yet one man's delusion displays its legacy,
That must be defeated, so all can disavow.

Maid of Honor’s Posy
Wearing her fuchsia gala dress
She walked the aisle and went ahead
With fresh posy as thick as cress
Weird fantasy popped in her head-
I’ll be the bride
Man by my side.
As wedding song took its progress
Plans unfurled like unwinding thread
First, to ask him his home address
Then dating path, she hoped to tread-
Get more posies

Re-Marking June
A Pride fellow with the hockey staff,
Who is jeered by some that made them laugh,
Was to count the whole team's men,
Ere the P.A., (ne'er again),
Said, "Our team's men totals about half."

The day begins with a big win-win
A brilliant sunrise dazzles my eyes
So much to do now, so many plans
Then again, some unwelcome demands
It's already noon, the heat's got me down
My sunrise smile's turned into a frown
Been spinning my wheels most of the morn
Time to pick up the pace, get airborne
I wing my way forward until it's past dark
Yet as I add things up, the totals are stark
Of all those big plans I intended to do
Not one completed, and started just two
A lesson I learned though, a word to the wise
~ Downgrade expectations after sunrise

Listist memories surrounding the cool autumn breeze;
Cellular graphical biological totals stacked high on highs;
Over on top of each other sunshines brights bleeds;
Parking dazzling lights and compensating prisms parallel to the skies;
Horizontally traumatized;
As humanity tries to dramatize;
Wake up open your eyes;
Get up you need to realize;
a last such a beautiful view-
high in you

During the day we have three meals plus two others
Brekkie, PRE-lunch, lunch, PRE-SUPPER, and supper
Totals about five
Well I'm still alive
So it works for me, I'm as flexible as rubber

Ode to the Fall Sonnet Autumn Falls
O’ My sonnet fall, you inspire to write
How I love thee way you're falling and blown
Invading my mind day and trough the night
Always dreaming about the cornerstone
~
Let me compare you gracious green flower
You are more yellow, orange and content
Brown storms whip the twig lets of October
As autumn time has yet intent ferment
~
Fall I do love you, count I those the ways
Generous love your amber rustic leaves
Thinking of your clean amber fills my days
My love for you as those delightful thieves
~
Now I must sway steal thy blue purple heart
Remember my keen words whilst we’re apart

AS I RELISH IN MY SAVIOR--
As I relish in my Savior;
Once led by my sinful behavior;
I’m addicted spiritually slain by my inner demons,
Harvesting these pangs, I pain caught up in exigency;
God’s mercies His grace He has given me;
Now alas, I AM a freedman;
Abstain from the woes those that I’ve vested;
I’ve past my trials, I’ve past my test now I’m rested;
In the mighty, mighty arms of the Master Christ;
Relenting in all things I’ve sacrificed;
Shall know I shall not scream His name in vain;
I will allow His truths and culture to rain;
Is, destined I will, I shall be His;
For this is so, this is what God says;
For my sins shall be drained;
In Jesus mighty named…
I’m now forgiven beginner,
yes now I am a winner
In the mighty, mighty name of Jesus, Hallelujah,
and alleluia
AMEN and again
AMEN

locked within their depth,

There sits a man
with pen in hand
Counting the stars that shine.
Do not disturb,
he’s completely absurd,
Involved with matters of consequence.
He sits and he counts
then totals the amounts;
He’s rich ‘cause he owns all those stars.
Oh, look! Now the sky is all blank
for the lights he did yank.
He put all his stars in the bank.

Have A Hard Question A Day
Will this keep the psychiatrist away?
Have a hard question so here is a hint
Am an egoistical, arrogant elephant
Loves with big mouth speaking out loud
So with personality can draw a big crowd. (Not pen)
So in order to solve this whole mess
In remarks section send me your guess
While you do sing Down in the Valley
Up all your remarks I will then tally.
If total of all totals is a total disgrace
In remarks section you ran out of space
When reading this poem and finally done
Hope you will continue on to the next one.
