I walk with confidence into the world.
My silver hair is all pinned up in curls.
Every step knowing that my time is money
Listening to the sounds is making it more sunny.
A vault full, starting when I was young,
as the house was never quite full of tongue-
in-cheek, tending to be taken lightly.
Mom would say, "Up to bed, hoodlums," nightly.
Those meaningful times when I could dig
up that pot of money that had grown big.
I was the oldest, the one who kept order.
Now, old as I’ve become, I'm a hoarder.
My life is a tangled patchwork blanket.
Under rules and sworn oaths of loyalty, a bandit.
How many hours of time turned into currency?
A dreamer with echoes of laughter, all so cozy.
“Time is money” people will say.
Imagine though if this were true:
if time were actual money.
To make it work, what would we do?
What standard would everyone use
by which one’s time would be measured?
Wasting time might be worth a dime
while gold would be one’s time treasured.
Would there be banks for one’s time saved,
and what would that mean anyway?
Would it mean one’s lifetime prolonged
like “saving for a rainy day?”
It’s wise to save money, but time
is currency that has an end,
so use it well each chance you get.
That’s better than time poorly spent!
We've all heard it said that time is money-
exchange for purchasing or hours worked.
What if it were the other way around
and time becomes the valued currency?
Then money equals time, a reversed gift.
This exchange would then offer us a choice
of what is valued at our stage of life.
How can we ever honor it with time?
I'd cash in half of all our lifetime savings
and purchase time- increasing senior years!
Extend our lives so that we surely can
longer watch our five great-grandkids grow.
Their ages range from one to only six.
So, at our current ages, that can't be.
If we could trade for fifteen years at least,
would see them turn sixteen to twenty-one!
Plus, receiving gifts of time rather than things
would grant us extra ways to spoil them
with our presence at future birthdays and
those main events that grow and form their lives!
With the other half of our money saved,
exchange it for the value of more time
to barter goods and services required
to help us live those extra fifteen years.
Said he, “Life is but a short journey, a dead end at best and over all too fast,
but along the way admire the view, enjoy the ride while it may last.
No ifs ands or buts, there are no shortcuts, we all fall by the same sword
and the race well run, from the starting gun, is its own reward.
The turning of the wheels wounds all heels, and in time, all wounds it heals,
so fill your heart for until you do, you're merely filling time
meanwhile the dial is really killing you.
As all you have is the now and here,
learn to burn the midnight oil, while down the drain the days disappear.
Can't stop the sands, hold the hands of time, or turn back the clock,
you won't see the same mistakes or heartaches
if you look at love as the key, and life as the lock.
For there is no daylight savings, as time awaits no man,
if time is money, no matter how much you save, you'll spend all you can,
doing this and doing that, to pass the time of day,
and there right before your eyes, the time of your life will pass away.”
Never live in past tense,
Like I wish I knew.
Futuristic mind set
Like what I’m about to do.
Regrets are for the weak stomached,
Treat mistakes like what I learned from it.
Dumb dumbs love saying time is money.
When it’s lunch time I eat their money.
You must come from thin air money,
That I don’t care money.
I’m bout after the bell ring that’s their money.
Energy spent really means something
Worth every penny down to the blueberry muffin.
Y’all sick with it?
I’m the robitussin
People change from time to time
But time does not change for a dime
Time is money, that’s the slogan
Time is a serious and stalwart weapon
People change every hour of the day
But time remains steadfast everyday
Every hour, every minute and every second
Time has no hand, yet it is in high demand
People die every day, as more are born to die
This is the truth; I cannot tell a lie
Live and enjoy every second of the day
Because time is always slipping away
Time does not give change
People die and change all the time
That’s fine; that’s not a crime
Time possesses an unflinching range.

“Time is money”
“Time heals all wounds”
“Time is what you make of it”
Truth, somewhere in the ticking
corridors we daily and nightly
transverse (Poe said brightly
and dimly dreaming) -- ticking echoes of
walls man does not see beyond
without visual aids of Faith...death
the sign of exit.
Time is a game of Hide-n-Seek.
Life may not be the only conscious
player….
“Time is money
It’s a sign that you worked all night
A sense that you did everything right.
And a life sentence, that keeps you awake all night
Time is money
The longer you work, the efficient hours you’ll be paid,
And rewarded, with a raise
Time is money
Your time was never a possibility, but rather a probability
Of whether or not you’ll actually have a chance of remarkabilty
Or, a configuration to be paid, a way to end your hostilities
Time is money
Your debt was never meant to be paid, but to be made
Up until time is what never seems to be of aide
Time is money”
Where does the time go
it disappears so fast
before you even realize it
everything is in the past
The future of time is speed
is that what we really need
The more time you have
the less time you share
Too little time the more you spare
For something eternal there never seems enough
For more time how do you make that stuff
Time is wasted time is money
Time is saved and time is funny
When it is your time to go
And you feel it and you know
Just a little more time you need
For goodbyes to say and loved ones to see
Is it a sin to selfishly stay
to live life void and waste it away
to never reach to never be
to never dream to never see
Having all the time you didn't need
while others for more time plea
Greeting hello, saying goodbye
Time to live and time to die
No more time you ran out
With time of that there is no doubt.
There’s plenty of time!
Times’s running out!
It sounds like time is a water spout
Time’s moving fast
Time’s moving slow
Does time really have somewhere to go?
Don’t waste time—Time is money!
So—We stuff time in our wallets?
Isn’t that funny!
Set your clocks in November
An hour you’ll lack
Don’t worry—next summer you’re getting it back!
But be it winter, summer, spring or fall
We really know nothing about time at all!

This life is my life
Why is this my life
So I shout YOLO
Maybe I'll try van life
Cause escapism
And romanticizing
Are all that's really driving me
And maybe one day
I'll really do it
I'll quit my job and
I'll get right to it
Because they told me
That time is money
So right now I'm rich as I can be
Some journeys are worth
the cost –
some are not...
and we do pay, one
way or another; even those taken
by mind alone have an Electrical
Transit-fee – the price of a meal’s
stored energy –
also, time, when foolishly
wasted, equates to wealth squandered
(time is money, I’ve been told)
but, the greatest loss, a chance to
increase one’s capacity for love –
which, I sense, is the only resource,
of any value, that would have
merit
beyond
the grave…
TIME
They said it’s the most precious thing in the world
Some have plenty of it,
Some may never have enough,
While some will be chasing it.
It is said that every minute counts,
Every second, every hour,
It’s a new opportunity,
But those that have a lot of it do not use it wisely,
While those who don’t have enough never know their priority.
Some say it is worthless,
But ask a man, who lost his child for being a second late to the hospital,
Or a man who missed his interview for being an hour late,
Or just ask a student who could’ve finished his paper if he had just a few more minutes.
Make every second, every minute, every hour count,
For you never know what the next is about,
Sure it might never always be a pleasant surprise,
But it will never be the same every time.
Time is money they say,
So make each second count,
Use every minute,
Turn the world upside down,
Explore every hour and,
Make time yours,
For only then you will get its worth.
PM
The city lights of neon flash
To dull sounds of the traffic flow
Upon the sidewalks footsteps crash
As people bustle to and fro
A city that never moves slow
For time is money, in cold cash
Getting caught in its neon glow
They seem to be in a mad dash
