Premium Member TACO! - Trump Always Chickens Out

The MAGA people sing this song, TACO, TACO!
They love to babble all day long, O-TACO-tay!
Who's the chump who chickens out? TACO, TACO!
Who's the POTUS who's gonna pout? O-TACO-tay!

Gonna pout all night,
gonna pout all day.
I'll bet my money he's gonna pout;
might as well stay away.

The press secretary and the dim VP, TACO, TACO!
Told what to say and what to see, O-TACO-tay!
They'll put their money in a bitcoin fund, TACO, TACO!
They'll lose it all because they're stunned, O-TACO-tay!

Gonna pout all night,
gonna pout all day.
I'll bet my money they're gonna pout;
might as well stay away.

See them lie and see them cheat, TACO, TACO!
Scam the people and then repeat, O-TACO-tay!
I'll keep my money and home I'll stay, TACO, TACO!
Not gonna travel to the USA, O-TACO-tay!

Gonna stay all night,
gonna stay all day.
I'll keep my money and home I'll stay
not gonna go away.

Premium Member Missy Miss Stares Down Army

Giant tiger laid herself over the enormous hill.
Staring down the tanks, guns and soldiers down there still.
She knew on the other side of the hill was an elementary school.
Tiger stood guard until the army got frightened by her toothy drool.

The soldiers began to turn away, terrified by the giant beast.
She held her ground, staring them down, anticipating a feast.
The few who ventured up there got gobbled up right away.
Only the villagers knew who the giant tiger had saved that day.

She was their heroine now, and they made a national Tiger Day.
They took care of her the rest of her life and her babies Tom and Tay.
Few creatures had ever saved them from a fate like this.
They adored their super hero tiger, whose name was Missy Miss.

A Perthshire Lad
Grew to manhood on the river Tay,
Writing poems ,most every day;
Cinquains,epigrams,whigmaleerie-
His diary of a dying man, left
Telling observations, for all to see.

Tribute to William Soutar

Premium Member Cinquains the Epigram One

NOTE:AMERICAN CINQUAIN (an imagist stressed version)WAS DEVISED BY ADELAIDE CRAPSEY (William Soutar Epigrams are a similar wordplay form)

Tribute to William Soutar

Grew to manhood on the river Tay,
Writing poems ,most every day;
Cinquains,epigrams,whigmaleerie-
His diary of a dying man, left
Telling observations, for all to see.

A cinquain in Soutar style

Desire
welled within-
words became a promise
so sublime,to love now and for
all time.

Premium Member Pumpkin Beer

Sweet thoughts, rainfall
It's just that kind of day
Sitting in my favorite chair
Words here on display

Before too long a finished post
A new morning bouquet
That's meant to say ILU
And get you on your way

For you to know that I'm right here
And that I'm always TAY
Just message me and you'll receive
Response without delay

And even intermittent
I'm still not far away
Anything concerning you
Is never done halfway

My dreams of us together
Span quite the vast array
But there's one recurring dream I have
Its substance I'll convey

It's...

A first class French excursion,
A personal chalet,
Long and lazy afternoons
At quaint outdoor cafés

Romantic Paris evenings
A Moulin Rouge soiree
Moonlight strolls along The Seine,
Then up Champs Elysees

Sup late European-style
That's how they do it anyway
Why not? Just like the old adage,
 "When in France," they say

And when the final curtains close
On our self-directed play
'Tis the season to head back home
And prepare to hit the hay

Then just before you fall asleep
A few things if I may:
One, I love you very much
Two, with me forever stay

Premium Member TAY

Not a day goes by
Not an hour, not a minute
Sometimes I find
Every moment has you in it

It's not too much
I simply think of you alot
I play for you, I write for you
I give you all I've got

I wonder if the time should come
As remote as it seems
Where all these thoughts would change themselves
To reality from dreams

And if they did
Would you get tired
Of hearing of my love?
Would you no longer want for me
To tell you something of

What I think, the way I feel
Of what I like of you?
Or how I'll be your troubadour
If you want me to?

And if that dream did manifest
To ever come my way
At a loss for words I would not be
I'd know just what to say

Premium Member You Name It

The classic names of nursing homes
make me want to puke and groan

  How about 'Celestial Gardens?'
great place to dump your 'burden'

  Then there's 'Sunset Terrace'
at sundown, for embalming they prepare us

Good old 'Live the Moment,' of course
where they put octogenarians in the workforce

Not to forget sparkling 'Milky Way'
careful what they put in your 'tay'

Yet there is a certain appeal to a fancy-name place
~ if you delight in the extinction of the human race

Mammay

Oye mamyan tay hath phairan walya,
Tun kithon gairat mand ay oye dus na?
Note.Sidhi tarah dus teka kadon lagna?

Character References

By Mark D. Stucky
If I applied for new employment,
should I write down for my references
my malicious manager who mistreats workers,
my onetime teammate serving prison time,
my drug-dealing cousin crashing in a crack house,
or long-lost relatives living in unknown locations?
If I used such rogue references,
could I honestly expect acceptance?

Yet, Jesus applied for the job
of Redeemer of humanity
and, for references, he is using us,
rogue saints and reformed sinners,
who all too often fail our calling
to love all other people
and pursue righteousness.

With character references
as checkered as Christians are,
can Jesus expect acceptance
by the rest of the world?
