Sweet 16, Sealed in Wax
Nothing compares, can't hold a candle,
To our togetherness in love,
Hand in hand we share our "One-dle",
As a ship in harbor, we nestle in our cove!
Nothing's like sweet sixteen,
Enamored , married & matched to Barbara,
"Aishes Chayil" humble yet royal queen,
She has "tzniusly" survived Chaim's parabola!
16 annuals as one, traditionally one gifts wax,
Not diamonds nor strings of pearls,
Our companion hood Bananagrams max,
Together, our joy unfurls!
Also known as Blooma Yehudis,
"Blossom of Thankfulness" is her label,
Such crocus lotus presence is greater than Buddha's,
Barbara's loyal! Her love sturdy as a cable!
Sweet 16 flies by like an arrow,
Bezrat Hashem, we'll be together for many more,
This verse is composed in Chaim's marrow,
There's affection aplenty yet in store!
Barbara's put up with O.C.D. plus Ataxia,
How? Chaim in gratitude, quietly thunders & wonders,
Worse than raining "Cats & Dogs", worse than "Hailing Taxis",
Barbara patiently endures Chaim's blatant blunders!

Letdown

Memory of you
Coming to my mind
After some time
In my own world
Forgetting about you

Appreciating everything with you
Right time
Right place

You were something
Almost special
The sweetest one I ever have

Butterfly crush
Making me sweet 16
Finally free to love
With you

The words that pulled me through
Motivating to be
More than I am

Nice and comforting
Wanting to hug you
In my sleep

Thinking of days ahead
Exploring together
Old and grey

If not
At least a good memory
For us to cherish and remember
Smiles and chuckles

But then
Speaking too soon
You hide a secret from me

Making me a fool
Thought
I was the only one

Astonishing
Been treated like nothing happened
Happily carry on

Angst
Hurt
Betrayed
Hating you

No longer special
Wanting you
Out of sight
Out of my life

Sad
This ends tragedically
Every part of you
Ghosted

A House Once Stood

along the edge
of the hustle
and bustle
of the highway
stands a set
of weathered steps
that break
at the horizon's fold

visions burn
within the dawn
of memories
in crimson pools
atop the steps
as i recall
more youthful days

a rush of sirens
beneath the hush
of october's dusk
with sanguine flashes
against the old stone home
its black and white
beaming back
in blurs
through misty air
where rain mingled
with tears
from the corners
of my eyes
as they still seep
within the lingering
of old memories
from fourty years
gone past

(i was hit by a hit and run driver 2 days after my sweet 16, the anniversary of that date is approaching and still haunts my mind , as i wonder how anyone could leave innocence for dead... last year i had to stop my bus just feet away from that spot, twice daily, this year i avoided that bus because i didn't want to relive the memory daily)

I have lots of likes and loves in my life.
Some I can live without; others I cannot.
To live without three of them, would surely kill me.

One gives me a list of honey do's and tells me what to do. For many years, she has been asking, "Where are you and What are you doing?" One can't drive, and although discreet, she loves my transportation services. I asked her once what she's going to do when I'm gone. Her reply? "Until then". The other is a one of a kind sweet 16, and she simply loves me to call her "Papa Girl".

A loving wife and friend of 45 years; a dedicated daughter and sweet granddaughter. Three lady loves in my life that's always there for me.
Who can ask for anything more?

We're the class of sweet '16! We're not tender vittles... we're Skittles! We're shooting Starbursts, reaching for the Milky Way. We aren't always Nerds-- we can be Airheads, too! :) We're on top of the world, even if we get the occasional Snickers! We may have to Crunch down on time once in a while, but you don't have to be the Three Musketeers to have Mounds of fun and Almond Joy! We do get the Snickers sometimes, huh?

Passport

Like a passports thats been stampes, I can prove to you I've been here before...
Like heels from my sweet 16, I can show you I've matured.
Once booed from your stage, now I'm finally adored.
Fell ill from to your disease, there's finally a cure.
Take... Take.. take.... Even come back for more.
A repetitive situation, you havent found purpose for....
... Same problem, new tears.... the current crap you've been dealing with for years..
Only now there's an issue, where's the encouragement and cheers?
Still looking for approval, afraid of looking awkward or weird?
Praying you can hop into someone else's skin... But the same insecurities will still lye within.
You cant fix whats on the outside and not whats on the in.
A pointless try and effort, my passports stamped again.

I Am Invincible

Take these broken hands
Rise me up again
To the angels of paradise
To fight for courage
Heal these broken hands
Heal these broken minds
Please!
Take these broken minds
Heal them once again
Heal me once again
So I can fly once again
Like those sweet 16 days
Flyyyyy!
Heal me once again!
Till the end of my life!
Heal those minds
Flyyyy!
Till until end of my life!
Tears drip!
Heal me once again!
So I can flyyyyyyy!

Hackers

Stay connected
Electric fusion
Electric chip
Reminiscing
Buddies who are the Uber Gods
Reminiscing to those days
Stopped by the police
Piano concerto
Mum looks disappointed
New York City
Rolling with life
Empathising with others
Piano concerto
Sweet 16 as a criminal
I never regretted it a bit
Because now I know the truth
The truth behind the beginning of time
You outlandish fool
The new world has come
The world of the chip
The world of social media
The world where kids are Gods
Adults are just old news
You don’t believe me?
It has already happened
You can’t open your eyes
So here comes my own story
As an adult
You can’t stop me
Government power is over
You can’t stop us
We are one
You will not prevail
Who?
That is for you to work out

Are you going to the dance?
I'd take a chance;
say you might give me a call,
but you're the know it all;

Do you know I write your name
and you're to blame
if I fail this test I need,
but you are all I read;

I can see you seeing me,
yes I can see,
you might think I'm on a string
but I'm not anything;

I could tell you so much more,
but it's a bore,
I mean, I mean what I say
and wish you'd go away;

there's the bell, another chance,
we'll never dance,
I know what it's all about,
but I'm not putting out.
