I Solemnly Swear

universal truth
when politicians promise—
the poor always pay

Premium Member I Swear

 Frigid temperatures filled the square
Rigid opponents chilled the air
 Deriding him a radical socialist
Unbridling the race to get him off a ballot list
The city was arm in arm, in protest daily
Whites, Blacks, Arab and Israeli
and what came up to all’s surprise
Mayor elect—Mamdani’s rise
Along came the 112th Mayor elect
Strong spent are the people who'd select
 Lines stretched around doters
Awaiting hours were his voters
Indulges in a city reborn it’s bagels and lox
Sworn in over the subway station docks
 Hand upon Islam’s holy text
A marvel of a man who’ll govern next
Swearing words of conviction and not of pity
I swear, to bolster and defend this dynamic city

Mayor Mamdani
promises New York City ~
a hopeful journey

I Swear

I swear to be honest
With the feelings I get.
You are the toughest
With the schemes I bet.

I swear you’re the one
in my pages with claws.
A feeling to have a run
Through hiding my flaws.

I swear to be honest
With the feelings I get.
To just erase the darkest
Climate by riding a jet.

Premium Member tired of hearing swear words

Pretty perky green parrot repeats each word
Owner Pat makes them up, they are absurd
Chickapickylicky slickyconcly curd
Guests give strange looks to the odd-sounding bird
Don’t ask me says Pat I don’t understand a word.

WATER

Water not luxurious
But very valuable
Water got no enemy
Very essential for living.
Water is everything, for all living things
I swear none can live or do without it.

About 71% of earth
Is covered by water
About 50-71% of the body
Is made up by water
Water is everything, not just a liquid
I swear a daily necessity
For all living things and more.

If I keep writing about water
I'll run out of words...
Water can dissolve or destroy anything,
With time and persistence.
But nothing can dissolve or destroy it.
Can't you see? water is everything...!

    Too eager
      to ‘submit’
      I admit
    Poetry unfit

    ‘Click,’ I hit
     then emit
      an oy, an ugh
      and a sheet

I Swear or Not

White powder coated streets
With snow and now some sleet
Slip sliding on my feet
Oh how I hate this sheet!!

Premium Member High End Swear

Some days you need to play with color,
dig out a dynamic metaphor;

A crotch hoarder with a smart mouth
who flashed his pinky finger at you?
Bollywonkers are so bitingly rude.

Locked in with that rhetoric squeezer.
Sew up your lip, sort out your tirade.
Waste of energy you don’t make sense.

Sports car driving by splashes water
making a mess of your brand new clothes;
Tippiefleas see nothing but themselves.

Some days you need to play with color,
dig out a dynamic metaphor;
That’s when you toss out a high end swear.

But if you want to go back to basics?
Just give them a good ‘F**k off’.

I want you to stand in front of the tv
Vacuum when my favourite show is on
Wash the floor with the steamer
And me smile as if it’s fun

I want you to not hear what I am saying
And ask questions already resolved
As I shake my head and laugh
You say you need some new shoes

I want to hear you sneeze like a scream
And make me jump when my back’s turned
I’ll eat catleta with tomato soup
And remember all the bridges we’ve burned.

I want you to make me laugh and annoyed
Will you promise you’ll never leave me
I never want your sofa empty
And I love your feet under my nose

If you go I’m bound to follow you
It’ll be down to you if I take the last step
So, be sure to stay forever, please
I can’t live with an empty chair.

Swear-to-Goodness

I make you tragic
Stir the dormant conscience in your gut
Until you're sick with how you hate yourself
And ashamed because you should
Even as your feet defy the exhortation
That if guilt could make you will
You would

I make you, the villain, victim
Same as me, of you
Your "swear-to-goodness" decent nature
Pulverized, despite your vying
By a temptation no man could be expected to resist
Unless he's lying
Like you

I Swear

Screaming so hard into the void
My throat is getting hoarse
I exist
I EXIST
I EXIST!

Why Do Some People Swear At Their Own Fates

Almost all people just try to steer
their own life cars
in their own ways,
few, through wide highways,
a great number,
through narrow lanes
with no gains
but in too many pains
so they all swear
at not what they haven't done
that they should have done,
but at their own fates

Diverticula pits up her colon
Can’t eat much or intestines get swollen
Ma's farts are so stinky
She swears with her pinky
Ain’t gonna stop her from goin’ bowl’n

Ma, gran, and Fran’s bowling tournament
I sat far knowing their predicament
Fran’s blasts were the loudest
Best bowler and proudest
It’s never again and that’s permanent

Twitter

I write on Twitter and vent my views
I never swear, never abuse
I sometimes joke and use satire
I am sometimes angry full of fire
I need free speech as we all do
But Twitter doesn’t like what I spew
So they suspend me, take me off air
Curb your language, yet I never swear

I don’t support Russia in any shape or form
Twitter thinks rape, murder and torture, norm
Therefore, when I say I wish Putin dead
They don’t congratulate, they suspend instead.
Now, I view him as a tyrant, terrorist, despot
I vent my view and guess what I got?

Others’ swear, F off, F this, F you
It’s a thing I never do
So I tested the water one day
And swore like a trooper in an affray
I wasn’t suspended or even chastised
Which proves one thing. Free speech is despised.

Swear Word Covid-19

Another year comes to a close
We've gone in circles, trying to follow our nose
So many lies and confusion, overexposed

Everyone's on the back foot, or throwing stones
But what's left in the end. I miss being stoned
