You became my world
You became the one
You stood by me, always
You were my best friend and lover
We let nothing come between us
We stood strong against the storm
Love, hugs and understanding
Kisses and passion and glory
Beyond these moments and magic
Dancing under the lights
Holding each other close
Celebrating our amazing life
Our friends are happy for us
Our family accepts our path
We are blessed beyond this lifetime
Our souls will remain amongst the stars
Thank you for being my heart

Thank you for all we are together
Thank you for being my whole

A dancer and actor, Patrick Wayne Swayze
Captivated many with dancing skills he conveys
Football he would have pursued but he got an injury
Starring in Dirty Dancing, his dancing skills seemed gingery
I am an American actor and most say I have charm.
I’ve never been in horror movies that bring people harm.
I’ve played lots of parts and fans call me versatile.
I have been told that my ability to act makes directors smile.
I create my parts and make the characters as real as I can.
Oh, I nearly forget to tell you that I am an American man.
Between 1980 and 1982 I was in a sit-com wearing a dress.
Called Bosom Buddies, but probably won’t help you guess.
I am not a good looking guy like Swayze, Depp or DiCaprio
The name “Ryan” has come up as a movie I was in, and also,
As one of the lovely ladies I have acted with, I am 6 feet tall.
My wife kept her last name Wilson, it’s the name of a ball.
Playing a pilot and a war hero, prison warder and professor,
I am starting to hope that this sponsor is a good guesser.
I was offended for all women by a guy named Trump .
My most famous role was a guy with initials F. G.

he is happy
a very unique joy
doing what he adores
a love like parents feel for their new born baby
it's a love you don’t know exists
until the very moment you live it
usually only reserved for your art or children
i am watching Patrick with a tear in my eye
tell my friends ‘it's just a bit of dust’
i'm sad

in that moment he is unaware he will die young
unaware he will fight like a brave warrior
take on pancreatic cancer without even a whimper
he beats it for maybe an extra year of life
in the end

this is different
an end
a human life stolen
sends a chill
even
through arctic regions
the dirty C
too many lost
to this disease
draws my ire
he does die
young
he passes as gracefully as he danced
i'm watching the movie
i think to myself
no i speak it out loud
pancreatic cancer
now that's what i call

There once was a woman named Daisy
Who the village thought to be crazy
She blue bubbles from nose
Rode bike with eyes closed
And called an old shoe Patrick Swayze

And hope the owner expects
To take a licking
And keep on ticking
Over and over like a Timex
With two left feet, no sense of rhythm,
Murmur of voices, giggles and gasps
Comes within earshot when I dance.
Oh, but in my head I dance seductively,
Grinding hips and dippin' with Patrick Swayze.
That 'climatic lift' in Dirty Dancing, no problo,
I fly in the air with grace and flair.
Repeated cheers and bravos I do hear,
For I now dance within my head.
Remember when fat boy Chris Farley
Competed against Patrick Swayze
On Saturday Night Live
Judges couldn’t decide
Picking one dancer made them crazy
In the end it’s Swayze who prevailed
Farley’s dancing career was curtailed
When he danced, his belly
Shook like tubs of jelly
As an erotic dancer he failed
After a great deal of strong debate
The judges gave it to Farley straight
“You’re not as good looking,
It’s Patrick we’re booking,
He dances best and you’re no lightweight.”
There was an old episode of Saturday Night Live where Chris Farley and Patrick
Swayze competed to see if they could make an all-male dance team. It was
hilarious watching Farley trying to dance.
