Notes About The Poem

If you have never seen the advertising contributions of John Cameron Swayze, take a moment to watch the embedded video, which briefly features Louis Armstrong. Then, enjoy this limerick (which in combination with the video) provides some interesting inspiration for the new year.

New Year's Resolution Inspired By John Cameron Swayze

We suggest a v-gina's for sex
And hope the owner expects
To take a licking
And keep on ticking
Over and over like a Timex

I don't know what Swayze has to do with vaginas. But this sure is a good comparison to overuse and abuse of a good thing!

Andrea, the comparison was to the Timex commercials for their watches. Try watching some of the adds. Search for John Cameron Swayze and Timex. The catch phrase he uses is the point. Just trying to be silly. "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking". You are too funny!
