It’s about to explode, ready set..
there’s such stability in chaos;
So wild the part of you that’s free;

Atomic part of you blown free  
takes root and slowly starts to set;
Careful the construction of chaos;

Discounting the structure in chaos,
naive to that serving core of ‘Free’;
Supernovas have an unstable set;

Just let go and set the chaos free.

For a Vacuum Cleaner

You make my life so easy
sucking up the dirt and fluff,
hair that makes me quite queasy 
and all sorts of unmentionable stuff.
You never get tired or wheezy
and help when things get rough.
Or when I feel rather uneasy,
you show you’re always tough enough.

How Do You Prefer Your Verse--Free Or Structured

Attempts at free verse make me sigh
and shake my head. I seldom try!
Such lines are best by others penned,
those who create a moving blend
of vivid details flowing free. 
They earn sincerest praise from me!

Blank verse and metered, rhyming lines
I love, though every form confines
me to strict rules. I welcome all
the challenges. Some see a wall

Would you, with me, traverse an unlined field
deny the jagged edge of distant peak
stroll lazily amid protected calm
or listen as the ragged mountains speak.

For some find solace in the chasms depth
cling tightly to the icy broken ridge
while others look within holding their breath

Words emerging from your quill,
Blazing with effulgence,
Capering and crooning around,
In harmony or in dissonance.

Rhyming in a golden cage,
Flying around in splendid colors,
Or, in a greenish meadow,
Flying away in divine freedom.

The beads of words will last long,
In our minds, if threaded strong
