One Step Forward

One step forward, two steps back –
That’s the way I function.
There is something that I lack
When I am at the junction

Of making a decision
Which will finalize a plan,
No matter the precision
Since my research first began.

It’s like I’m on a diving board,
Afraid to take the plunge,
My hesitancy like a cord
My body can’t expunge.

And yet I search and plan and hope
My M.O. might just change
And I can shed that binding rope
And step-wise, rearrange.

Premium MemberI step forward with the fear that in the years to come, like shadows stretching at dusk

I step forward with the fear that in the years to come, like shadows stretching at dusk,
Every word spoken or written will evaporate like morning dew,
Like dust carried by the wind or rivers flowing into forgotten seas,
My thoughts will scatter with the dawn, silent and lost.

I have no wealth or fame, no legacy of great deeds to leave behind,
No scars of war or stars discovered, nor races won,
Like so many others whose words and thoughts have now been swallowed by time,
I fear a wordless fate, like confetti thrown toward the heavens.

The poet’s dream of living beyond oblivion haunts me in secret,
For someone to read these words would save the soul from the void,
Only time will tell if these letters will write the end of these phrases,
Simple scribbles now that might, somehow, be read on future pages.

I wonder if my echo will resonate in the vast silence of the universe,
If my metaphors will dance among the stars or fade into oblivion,
If the dream of touching eternity with a verse will outlast the night,
Or if it will vanish like a fleeting dream, swallowed by the relentless waves of time.

Small Step Forward

Nothing comes easy
If you want to succeed
You have to fight
And be patient
Don't grab things
That can't reach by the hands
Be content on what you have
Be creative in small thing
Start humble and focus
Keep on innovating your craft
Be happy on small progress
Cheer on anyone success.

One Step Forward

"One step forward and two steps back
Nobody gets too far like that
One step forward and two steps back"
Life sometimes seems like that:
The steps that take you back, take
You back to childhood; take you back
To hidden fears and phantom failures,
That never happened, yet seem so real.
Nobody gets too far like that;
Yet that's what life is -
One step forward and two steps back.

And yet; sometimes two steps forward,
Followed by one step back,
Takes me a little closer to happiness.
Two steps forward: I can tango with that,
Just one step backwards then
Two steps forward in the dance of life;
I could go a long way on that.

Two steps forward and one step back.

Step Forward

Dead before the death,
The life you lived before you left,
The smile which died before the seventh step.

Never shown a dim light it's just kept,
Steps towards success which kept you in debt,
The idea, never climbing to reach the mountain's cape

Values and Morals which were never sincerely kept,
Eyes meant to be wet,
Sweat's drop meant to be swept.

But it is to "Hope" to keep the man together taking each step
letting no tear make your face wet.

If you focus
on your potential
Rather then your fears.
If you focus
on your strengths
Rather then your weaknesses.
You will find your steps
begin to head towards
your destiny.

Always Take That Step Forward

Always take that step forward
Move towards the light
Escape from the dark clouds
In order to make your world bright
The choice is yours
Create your legacy
Be all about your business
Manifest your destiny

Always Step Forward

Always step forward
In order to get somewhere
Have courage and strength
Hopefully, these words are clear
The journey will not be simple
Be willing to take action
Stand on your two feet
And make things happen

A Step Forward

This Intoxicated feeling, open doors that follows a never ending story, twisted chapters and a lot of memories that comes out of the world. That soft voice was light spoken, " the visions of that's to come such never be something to die for." Some choose to never know, some take their last breath to try to figure it all out, in the end we all stuck with time in the making. Shine a light on what's before me, pre-pair me for anything I only imagine the good things that I pray it's before me. Something more or less of that kept the fight raging on, one world two souls fighting for clarity; what's been turned to rubble will always be stepped over in the end. There's no means to the life of emptiness, times of letting go becomes easy as the night's passes by. Sheltered from the pain cause it's hard to let love in, a dance with life changes the way we think. Birds fly everyday on the search of something new.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

one step forward, two steps back
that is how most of us live
in our daily circumstance
one step forward, two steps back

progress made is progress spent
wondering where it all went
always late to the main event
one step forward, two steps back

running right while leaning left
taking back what we've been given
what we lack in our goals met
one step forward, two steps back

Always Step Forward

Always step forward
There is more for you to gain
Do not hide in the shadows
And be stuck in the rain
Get a hold of yourself
Be the beacon of light
Continue to inspire
Right through the night

1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back

Why is life such a struggle?
like your life has this big crack.
You take one big step forward,
And life knocks you three steps back.
You just can’t seem to get ahead,
No matter how hard you try.
Some days are worse than others,
And it just makes you want to cry.
The Bills are more than what you make,
And Not much money to buy food.
Your getting on each other's nerves,
And it starts to put you in a mood.
Your life just seems so broken,
There is no way to fix this crack.
So you keep taking one step forward,
Just to get knocked three steps back.

One Step Forward

We are heading toward the unknown morning,
ready to face with the heavy light of the world
only this livid silence embraces us now,
yet still, I do not fear to take one step forward
for I know there's no future forsaken
for I know I am going to happen by you.

Premium MemberLove and a Step Forward

Take a Step Forward

Quarrel of lover's fears, tears, and laughter;
I place my hands up to my ears and roll
my eyes, I wonder, what are you after.
When we wed, we were one body one soul.

Why, does it always have to be your way?
Why can't we believe life will change for us?
I sigh, take a deep breath, and sneak away
until the air clears and there's no more fuss.

Taking a step forward, forget the dark
of the past, laying it all on a pyre
put it all a fire an ending to mark
a new beginning a love of desire.

How we have trembled with fears, tears, and strife
both our lives, a bond rich meaningful life
