creamiest bouquet
white daisies touched by red sun
in aged day's glow

marvelous mauve walls
tell stories of sun's passing
birds whistle blithely

glass lake reveals moon
that's peeping at the window
raising dark drama

plum shadows, fireflies
pink sun's travels never cease
blue butterflies sleep

Imagination Standstill

walking on this pathway
happy to be surrounded by mystery
the birds point me in the right direction
the squirrels assist, but act mischievous as usual
the breeze is welcoming
the skies are perfectly blue
the sun is in a mellow mood
at the end of the pathway is the bluest water that i have never seen
it must feel good to afford paradise
tomorrow, it is back to work and the road i go

Premium MemberThinking of You

Thinking of you
The world outside
Waiting for the lockdown
To be lifted
The lonely moon,
The stars and the clouds
Know my hearts
Yesterday suddenly everything
Come to a standstill
Less night back man
Less morning jogger
Less cars and pedestrians
Less hustles and bustles
But lights and humps
Can never block us
Going out is a song
Singing rhythms of life
Road is a river
Flowing out to a greater sea
Home is a gloriette
For people and backpacks to rest
Thinking of you
The mountains and the sea
The youngsters and the oldies
The drawing of the famous Chinese art piece
Hundred sons and thousands of grandchildren

Standstill

Have a great birthday, dear Syril,
The day of judgment is so close;
Life will be brought to a standstill,
There will be no more highs and lows.

The World At a Standstill

all noise comes to a crashing halt
stifled by the sound of silence.
it is not a boom. it is not a bang.
it is a dive downward into nothingness.
the feeling in the pit of your stomach at the fall
on the edge of a waterslide.

the cars
propelled forward at breakneck speed
slam into a brick wall that isn’t there.
the drivers would catapult out their windshields
hurled into oblivion
if they could move.
but time has stopped, and they have stopped with it
as if they were encased in cement blocks.

the air hangs stagnant over the road.
it is peaceful here.
the stillness of the ponds’ waters
ocean waves suspended in midair
desert winds momentarily lifted
everything in the universe at a halt.

and the world picks up again.

Premium MemberMy Art Is At a Standstill

I do not pick up a canvas because I am bereft.
I am idea-less. My good paintings are done.
Why would I want to waste time on bad paintings?
I have not even liked the last two at all.
They took me over three weeks, and I hate them.

I look for a redeeming quality, and it is not there.
I do not like the shape, the subject, or the colors I used.
I have not finished two of them because I do not like them
Enough to finish them.
I do
not
care
if they
are
ever
finished.

Painting was an all-encompassing compulsion for four years.
Am I over it?
God, I hope not.
It was the most relaxing hobby I have ever had.

When Time Is Standstill

The time was standstill somewhere,
There were only two eyes and two chairs
There was a pulse and two people
For a while, everything was hanging.

And they were neither top nor down;
The music stream was flowing around-
The sound was moderate and in a tranquil,
They were sitting at a coffee shop.

The wind was silent,
The birds stopped flying,
No sound was heard anywhere,
The waiter didn't not come for the order.

Some camel made sand storms,
The sand was standing around the cup and the plate;
Suddenly the time began to move,
The two minds start to breathtaking.

Standstill

A moment comes,
A life turns,
Like a knife it turns,
So deep to hold
So intense like a smashed cork in the eye
A hit that drains smiles
A feeling of shiver on winter
A time comes that one opts for a rest.
That better could life pile the file
That a nonstop sleep could do better
When it takes a new path
Showing a new fierce look
Friends leave untold
Success sucks the sense off the fence
The taste of tasteless
Its real,real as RE is,
That life shits on all, none dies a virgin
We all are hit hard and hurt
But this means not the end
For an end ain't an end while 'b' exists
And never done while you can eliminate the 'd'
For long we blind our eyes with tears
We mist our vision and lose our focus
We miss the sight of light to fight on
We lose chances of change for a better
For a clogged mindset is a log to let in a thought.
Doing more harm than arms do.

Standstill

In a spectre of will
My thoughts stand still

In the cacophony of lies
My eyes were never blind

In the deceit of the living
My ears doubt in believing

In the loss of another
I will never falter

For I think, and I know
For I breathe, and still breathing in tow

For I see, and my suspicions accurate
All caution from what was once immaculate

For I feel, and I am now broken
In standstill, my soul has been taken

Far away; far, far away
Away from this plane, my life lingers in disarray.

It's a Standstill At the Crosswalk

It tears my heart to see where you're heading
I can feel you lying to my face
You're not the same girl I once knew
I don't know how much longer I can stand to be around
I put myself in so much agony as we sit there in lies
It's there in black and white yet you turn the other cheek
You need to figure out your goals and priorities and quit your lies
Because we all see where this is heading

Standstill

standstill

the memories of that lover
who was once and foremost my friend
the tears of joy that they to me still send

the journey that they failed to take
all for the price of following their heart, the difference it would have made

we are friends to this day
caught in a standstill no longer with anyone to be i pray
the chains around their heart were so light to bare
a life of crazy times with them i would have shared

if caught in a standstill
follow your heart not what you hear
whisper "fly free" to the white dove with it rests on your shoulder...by your ear
