Notes About The Poem

A Standstill

creamiest bouquet
white daisies touched by red sun
in aged day's glow

marvelous mauve walls
tell stories of sun's passing
birds whistle blithely

glass lake reveals moon
that's peeping at the window
raising dark drama

plum shadows, fireflies
pink sun's travels never cease
blue butterflies sleep

Each night seems to rise in special colors of its own. I enjoy light breezy nights on a porch.

Dear Evelyn, love all of these haiku’s. The imagery and skilled use of colour is exquisite as always from you. I love to read your poems as the scenes play out so beautifully in the mind with your delicate descriptions. ‘ white daisies touched by red sun’ glass lake reveals moon’’ pink sun travels’ absolutely gorgeous! Such a delight to read my sweet friend. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and smiles xx
