What on earth did I do to deserve this fate ?
From my insouciance I awoke much too late.

'Tis to Tomi now in exile on the Black Sea
Augustus in his wisdom has condemned me.

Julia's company and that poem where I erred
Removed me from the leisured life I much preferred.

And now my sorry assize I needs must thole
With only my wife's tenderness me to console.

This crude and inclement clime I must now call home
Sequestered so far from my distant beloved Rome.

Surrounded I am by dull furs and guttural sounds
Where in my mind life with bright togas and verse abounds

If I am not to lose my precious muse
Their language I must learn and use.

Caesar hopes me to have metamorphosed
From sophisticate to rude yokel indisposed.

Yet my Epistulae ex Ponto plead for his mercy to contain
Hopes for my return to Rome, though that all looks in vain.

If my poetry cannot soften his implacable heart,
Then perhaps others will appreciate my art.

Enchained as I am in this Hades of a living tomb,
My poetry must transform it into my Elysium.

Where Rome was once my sucus et sanguis,
Tomi must now serve as my grand palace

Simple Words

Simple words

I wish to use simple words
For a simple poem
No sophisticate mind never seek
Sad to say their growth has stopped voluntarily

Whoever eager to taste honey,
Should touch simplicity
To expel monotony
It is the key to open the treasure of hidden

Touch my innovative heart
Always updating with unknown
Through my simple words
Those never fade away or die

Look at my poetry dear friends
With petals of simple words
They are more flexible to open
Give you soft sensation
To discover heavenly nectar inside

Hello

"Hello," she said and took my hand.
Just a simple kind of greeting.
I had done this a thousand times -
Two people and a first meeting.

"Hello," she said and took my hand.
My mouth went dry and formed a grin
As my brain struggled for control,
And I became the least of men.

I am a romantic at heart
Best known as a sophisticate.
Well versed in arts of seduction -
Never been known as celibate.

And yet there I stood, mouth agape,
Trying to find my own clear voice.
A fool dressed as a simple clown.
Knowing in this role I had no choice.

No one warned me of love's approach.
I expected trumpets, you see.
Hello is such a simple word,
But it took the measure of me.

Sophisticate

Elegantly draped in the finest
Your walk brushes the floor in a smooth roll
The room fills with energy and eager eyes
Flickering and clicking cameras applaud you
You are intrigue personified
Suddenly a white square reveals itself
The label hanging from your hem!

Gianni

Gianni is only seven and his mind seems so mature,
doesn't he amaze everyone when he talks and smiles?
We all thought that kids had a different nature:
to play baseball and ride their sturdy Turtle bikes!

How can a kid with gorgeous and innocent eyes
not make us laugh when he spills a glass of hot chocolate
on the carpet and whispers, " Sorry " twice?
He surely deserves a big hug not loud words that irritate!

Gianni is learning new skills daily: like walking as his proud dad,
imitation or not, it's spontaneous and very comical;
woe to his mom if she makes fun of him by shaking her head!
Ah! He thinks is a grown man and can climb a wall!

Yesterday's kids weren't that smart, they spent more time playing with toys...
blame technology for their knowledge or us for being fashionable and sophisticate;
we have everything at our command, but children like Gianni have become boys:
soon they'll be men with ingenious ideas to build a world that we can only imitate!

The Screen Draws a Hopeless Biology

The screen draws a hopeless biology

An image of an empty cleaner leaving downstairs
Why won't an idle client advertise?
The bath washes

An inevitable dinner tosses a converse arch

The adjusted approval flies against the clique
Chaos yawns beside a baroque goldfish.
Should the venal ascend beside a fairy chap?

Blood replaces the aesthetic virus

When can blood groan?
Blood scrolls outside the whole.
While bombs starve under blood

The roman censor motivates the subject

When a profitable constituent defines the contrary artwork
Blood dodges his winter inside a hysterical ladder
The soul battles the chemist

And the award spites love

The understood sarcasm treasures love
Love farms behind the sophisticate and pardons the soul
Can a war zone hate in the autumn?

Apologize into an unsuccessful fire

As an offhand antidote gangs a custom
The toad sounds like war behind a saint
An umbrella landscape contours a dated psychosis

Only after war pulses hate.

Premium MemberSuperior - Not the Lake

SUPERIOR – not the lake

To me there are no persons drearier
Than those who think themselves superior,
Think everything in life that they do
Is a little, no, MUCH better than you (do)

She didn’t come right out and make a claim
Not sophisticate was to give it name
As example – I mentioned my dentist
Hers, compared to others by far the best
Sadly, my doctor’s name, somehow, came up
Hers had won the Johns Hopkins world class cup
When I mentioned housing she had a ball
When compared to hers, the Taj Mahal was small
Dare I mention our Jeep parked in the back?
She’d boast of her three bran new Cadillacs
Fed her dog ‘Vet’s Laboratory Test’
Even claimed her Fido’s droppings were best

         Then, one day –

Joy! When they had to call an ambulance -
Her chronic case of painful flatulence

The Medicated Love of My Heart

Go through the capital letters, I used it to form the summary of this cute poem:
ROSE AROSE CLOSE and DOSSED off all my arrogant POESING problems, in WHOLES.

Her name is ROSE,
Her roles were;
to come and make up, take up and bake up all my sophisticate problems

She didn't come to break and rake my heart away

She AROSE to love and solve the swelling problems which dwells deep down in the belly holes of my heart

With CLOSE tears and fears,
she searched and reached deep down below the belly well of my heart
and boldly sank my problems, typically outside the belly well of my heart

This DOSSED off my arrogant problems,
and made it ignorantly powerless to touch its toes

In a POSEING mood,
I happily watch it sweat dramatically as it tries to touch its toes

I purely call it;
serving the medicated love of my heart

This has made the blank pages of my heart, filled with integrated brand new colourful laughter
which reveals the true colourful dose of what my heart is really made of

Which are NutriLove+VataLove
in WHOLES

This poem is dedicated to my lovely friend, LINDA the Poet ~Destroyer. Thanks for your admiration.

Premium MemberMistress Dance

Graceful sits her hand upon his arm as they enter
He in his tails and best, she in silver splendor
His eyes scan for those that would covet her form
Her eyes search for men rich, widowed and forlorn
His goal tonight to catch her in a situation indelicate
Her goal to continue in high society and sophisticate

Thus, the dance begins

As she flirts with coy and non subtile implied ways
he roves the crowd waiting for her to finally stray
She has culled out her next meal ticket
While he is hiding, waiting in a laurel thicket
To be a mistress, aging, is the death knoll
For one who never put away for future goals

She and her senior aged new par amour
stroll along the garden, into the darkened core
just when it is she is about to close the deal
Out he jumps, proclaiming his true love he does steal
And thus he is free to find a younger soiled dove
And she is thus inclined to marry, but not for love

Thus, the dance ends

Remembering Forward:Criscrossing Nyc In the 50's With Frank O'Hara

We were connected by chaos and by name
I,the amateur sophisticate, approached the city
to contribute to business in concrete.
You, the accomplished composer, came crashing in
to record the commerce of life.
     I was ordinary,usual.on the verge
     of obsolescence.
     You were radical.progressive,
     butting the threshold of avant-garde.
You boldly broke forth into yourself.
I was needful of a future to prevail.
I returned to common and coal skies.
You escaped to art and sandy skies.
Your celebration of New York erupted
     in every "this and that."
     I loved your city love
     but my tribute was tempered.
I knew the rest of your life
     would kill you.
     I preferred longevity.

A Poem For the 'Beautiful Builder' At the The Ricoh Arena

She looked really impressive
Small; and full of pride
A nonchalant gait, but sophisticate
Her work mates by her side.

It felt like she'd built it all herself
Her hard hat firmly in place
With a confident stare in the medias glare
an emancipated face.

I wanted to get to know her
I wanted to shake her hand
I wanted to say in my own private way
'Will you take me to my stand ?'

But as the sun shone through the vomitary
something made me upset
Her charms I decline
She'll never be mine
She was smoking a cigarette !
