Solvable Poems

Voice of America -----Silence of the lambs

Voice over
Wind catcher
Coffee maker
Coffee creamer
A streak of moonlight
A scent of sunlight
YOU ARE NO
I am the wrong way
Unlearn
Yield.

Voice over
Wind catcher
Coffee maker
Coffee creamer
A streak of moonlight
A scent of sunlight
YOU ARE NO
I am the wrong way
Unlearn
Yield.

For a dead debt sealing
exactly how should you call
Jimmy Carter directly in solvable white house only to digress
the ever mystic Angelita?

Voice over
Wind catcher
Coffee maker
Coffee creamer
A streak of moonlight
A scent of sunlight
YOU ARE NO
I am the wrong way
Unlearn
Yield.

Premium MemberThe Velum of Clouds

For all the planning
and learned preparation
poetry remains part
mystery

a write only dimly solvable

a poet wisely advised to
proudly accept
all credits, while adhering failures
to sacrificial muses,

the lambs should
be accustomed by now
to writers’ confiscations
and slanders

our best definition:
poetry~ likened to love --

fond works

pinned to the heart

stapled to the velum

of high flying clouds~

hopefully

ascending

for safe keeping

and reunion

symphony

Blade to my wrist like a violin
Pain can produce beautiful melodies
Composing a constant struggle
Orchestrating my own orchestra
The cold sharp bow against my strings
Vital arteries are mysterious things

Death of a heart, grieving having a feeling
They're nothing but solvable problems
I'll take Cupid's arrow through my heart
Or a bullet through my mind
Killed by love or loneliness
Bring me to a garden of unholiness
I wont shoot myself in the foot again
I'll make sure the pellets pierce my brain

Paint the walls red
Every ounce that I've bled
I don't care how I do it
I can't push through it

Beyond Your Control

Sometimes a problem’s beyond your control,
Affecting the way that you rock and you roll
And though a solution, of course, is the goal,
There isn’t one you can uncover.

You Google and agonize, suffer and fret
And think of what you could have done, with regret,
But mostly you wish you could simply forget
And take a deep breath and recover.

Some problems are solvable; others are not,
At least with the tools and equipment you’ve got.
Yet still, you must give it your very best shot,
For maybe some help you’ll discover.

Premium MemberSadness

Sea shells in a child's hands get snatched away by the sea waves.
Long-earned wealth, in cash and kind, is stolen by the burglars.
Kith and kin, who have been in thick and thin, end up in graves.
Love songs sung coyly turn into knells and death bell murmurs.

My precious spouse, my innocent child, and my valued friend
Death has snatched them all. Who will ever replace them? With what?
I, too, am moving gradually towards my grave's end.
Though my soul has flown, I should, in the coffin, remain shut.

Like the messenger of death, is my sadness a warning?
Does this tell me that the zeitgeist is not favourable?
As this isn't monsoon, is the weather, for me, mourning?
Should I search for solutions - solvable and saveable?

Does sadness yet spare anyone, whether they're young or old?
Does it discern whether it's summer's heat or winter's cold?

Fall

Sudden slump of that which was erect
Which by standing up tries to correct -
Continually, we meet a fall,
As athletes compete; during football,
Nearly always suspending a game,
Referees whistle protecting its name.
Time for awarding a team free kick:
One way of letting a squad wounds luck…

In a clinic a malfunctioning heart:
Cause for the medics to around dart
By the fainting who had not eaten,
For nothing he had left in kitchen;
This type of fall the solvable
By fronting one with consumable…

Not the from-Grace-to Grass of Greats
The painful crash of once heavy weights:
Their well-fought fame burning to cinders
But tomorrow’s rise not this hinders…

UNEXPECTED

The most desired but most unexpected guy
              appeared perchance.
                   Me enchanted, charmed, delighted.
                    Everything seemed so loveable.
                     Each problem turned solvable.

           Sweetest sentence of three syllables
            was uttered by him.
Seven heavens descended at my doorstep.
              Eternal time made a pause.
               An amazing moment redefined me.

            Most embarrassed happenstance
            followed next making me stunned.
                 My love left.

   to overcome over all loneliness.

             Helplessness solvable by neighbours!
             Improve your social behaviour.
In urgency next door guys : Saviours.

But in mobile, Facebook or text message
Children, youngsters, seniors on average !
Most of the time all engaged! Time wastage.

Care and share for your next door neighbours.
In need do favour or ask for favour.
Daily chores to run smooth with less labour.

Friends may be far, neighbours at door step.
Be involved: Interact ! Help and get help.

Good Things To Know

If a donkey carries a load of wise books,
that doesn't make the beast intelligent.
It’s still a donkey.

An ass is always the offspring of an even bigger ass.

God is you doing bad things, blaming him
just makes it worse.

If at all possible try not to make a child in your image,
especially if your own image is a work in progress.

Problems that you cannot solve do not matter.
Problems that are solvable often indicate that you
were wrong then and now.

If anyone claims to be an expert in anything,
walk away quickly whistling loudly.

Bird poop in your hair is not a blessing.

Fake it, knowing you will never convince anyone,
least of all yourself.

Eating only vegetables may well retard your
muscle memory and stunt your hair growth.

Never claim to be a poet until you have
shed 10 years of mind-sweat,
and discarded enough early crap to
fill a dumpster.

Edit yourself not just what you write.

If you come across a semi-naked guru,
test him by stealing his loin cloth.
If he really has given up all worldly things
he will not run after you with an axe,
but of course you know he will.

Premium MemberWeeds

Weeds

Why do I do so well at growing things,
I don't want to grow,
and do so badly and the other plants,
I work hard to keep alive?

The value of weeds is a question
I have pondered at length.

At first we went to war.
I pulled and pulled the intruders out.
They came back,
their numbers increased
by dispersion, into the soil.

I thought to use chemicals next,
and then looked about at the birds in the trees,
the bees in the flowers,
and the cat next door on the sunny porch.
I also suddenly remembered the dumb bunny...
that comes in the morning,
and eats his fill.
I moved on.

Under further investigation,
I discovered many of the green aliens
offered a bounty of teas,
healing properties,
and editable delights.
I had not considered their usefulness.
Learning new knowledge,
and expanding my world,
made a difficult problem
solvable,
and even provided
an answer to as yet unknown
questions, until now.

Every Bum In Our Slum

I know like a solvable sum
Every Samson’s riddle bum
Roaming our banal slum
Besides my tricky chum
With his insincere dum-dum–dum!
Not in his favor
His ear- assaulting chewing gum,
A thing to not savor
His disquieting rum…

If not slapping some drum,
Strangers asking where they came from,
Glowering at the seemingly dumb.
Sometimes, touching tunes does hum
But with a face decidedly glum
And not infrequently hitting his mum
For recklessly postponing his plum.

Premium MemberWhy

Life is such a mystery,
Why are we here?
Life can bring misery,
or much happiness.

I am but a mere pebble,
in the vast universe.
Sometimes I am a rebel,
with no direction at all.

Father time has ticked by.
Girl in the mirror isn't me
As I stare I wonder why,
have I been a victim of time.

I behold a stranger's eyes
looking back at me, I am
still taken aback and I sigh.
The puzzle pieces don’t fit.

Life’s an enigma;unsolvable
too many unknown answers.
Why can’t it just be solvable,
its clues are likened to riddles.

Am I just a puppet on a string?
If so, who is the puppeteer?
All of life’s uncertainties stings.
One just gets numb to the pain.

Rubik’s Sphere

        Rubik’s Cube turned round.
        Still fun continued, not less,
                           being solvable,
                 just obeying spherical
                 co-ordinates to follow.

        Hello! My dear friends!
        Need not to be disheartened.
        Enjoy the puzzle
        with same enthusiasm
        to relax or passing time.

There's an ever present misery measure we humans live/die to choke
blame on anything/one that's not us involved.
Rationalization, my right hand, gossip, the tool of the m asses
is a good key to that ever-present padlock of stoolish whining
about our tofroupdowninout ill framed decision makers
resorting to open blaming others, alive or otherwise
for our every pinched plight poorish purpose, a sicklic
intelli-dunce approach to our only one time proactive earthly ride.
Thus Protract yr crude cranium from yr **** atmosphere of
non nominal unthunk rituals, constipated criss-crossed calamitous capitulations of WTF? Get it right, tubular, on point and move toward the light of Mind
over mush my friend; add/subtract/multiply/divide trading
in yr socio/domestico sad stilted neo
seculoethic impertinent ignorance aplenty aside,
for an in and or un solvable resolution into yr own soulful sink
to a resent-ful evolutionary end game waiting room.
Close cover before striking.

Premium MemberA Brand New Day

"To Him that made great lights, His Mercy, endureth,
forever"

Man is not God but suffers when
man acts as Him.
He grows weary being Him, or
contrarily plays helpless. Never thinking of asking
God for help.

"In the deep forest I will search for you and find you.
Along the running brook, with awesome leaves, the
Lord is all over the earth. The tall pines sing your name."

"I cannot hide from your presence.
In the midst of the desert, I find you or under a stream."

All our problems are solvable! the world sends us tin
answers to soul longing questions.

We forget this final verse and in so doing, cause ourselves
such pain.

"Do not let your heart be troubled.
And...what do you benefit, if you gain the whole word yet lose your
own soul"

Wishing all a great day!
Panagiota
