Relationships bloom in the hush,
Where solstice stomps its purple flush.
No anger, no storm,
Just calmness in form,
A feather of love in the crush.
I carry the sapphire
crown of kings
'Tis my joy and
destiny's delight
Midwinter's solitary
solstice sings
Return of longer
days and light
Ivory light fades
at solstice.
A coin in my hand
reminds me
that life is spent.
Still, I hold hope.
When darkness comes,
I rise.

Bright midsummer heat
ignites the vibrant
kaleidoscope, blending
cerulean cascades and
magenta splendors beneath
incandescent skies.
THE CHROMATIC SOLSTICE
Beneath the resplendent
architecture of July,
We unfurl the convoluted
fabric of our dreams,
Immersed in an effervescent
alchemy,
Where cerulean cascades
and magenta splendors
gleam.
With meticulous constriction
and chromatic grace,
We subjugate the pristine
cotton's stark expanse,
Applying pigment in a
labyrinthine embrace,
A kaleidoscopic,
psychedelic, sunlit trance.
The solar zenith acts as our
alchemical fire,
Fixating hues within the
cellulose domain,
A symphony of shades, a
visual choir,
Untied and resurrected from
the dye- bath's stain.

celestial
synastry

summer solstice arriving...
longest day and shortest night...
silent trees bloom and revel
in abundant light.
long, light, bright days of summer
winter seems so far away...
darkness slowly increases
in benign manner.
Hark dear friend. Reflect.
The old year is now half spent ~
our solstice is nigh.
Walking carefully in the dark,
Up the gravel driveway.
Bumpy bits under my feet.
Want a path? No way!
I’m here to feel things as they are,
No help from path or lights.
Too feel the stillness and the dark,
On this cold, old night.
The longest night of the whole year
Has come around again.
I want to sense it’s presence full
Because I known not when
My life here in this living world,
Will come to an end.
Experience it fully, wholly,
Holy too I say.
I won’t be here tomorrow
But I may not go away.

Winter Solstice

Today is Winter solstice
In the northern hemisphere
Above the Arctic Circle
Sunshine does not appear
Daylight is the shortest
And Winter has begun
Every day until the Summer
Each day will have more Sun
That’s the way the Earth works
As it moves around the Sun
That is why we have four seasons
Happy Winter everyone!

The year is
cumbersome now~
an awkward
breath held
between
the dark
and
what comes
next.
Trees' black silhouettes
stand out
against the
sky as it
fades.
The sun,
low
and exhausted,
touches
everything
but warms
nothing.
This is the turning~
a gentle hinge
of light,
the world
tilting back
toward
possibility.
The hunter flies
through the winter skies
so clear.
The baby lies
asleep and wise
so dear.
The morning’s daughters have come to bring
where the star stands
sweetness, power, and suffering
in their bright hands.
The soft snows keep
the earth asleep:
sunrise is near.
