No Apologies

No Apologies,
For putting ecology,
Before ideology,
Before monopoly,
Before Duopoly,
Before Stupidity.

No Apologies,
For putting kindness,,
Ahead of selfishness,
Ahead of shrewdness,
Ahead of ruthlessness,
Ahead of thoughtlessness,
Ahead of heartlessness.

No apologies,
For sharing,
For caring
For helping,
For singing,
For laughing.

No apologies,
For cooking up a storm,
For finding my new norm,
For giving others room,
For finding time to dream,

No apologies,
For being me,
Not wanting to hurt a bee,
No replica of you will I be,
Nor will I try to turn you into me,
As I am setting you free,
To see what you can be,
Without me.

An Astute Gratitude

It is unconscionable to ponder
that God's awesomeness is questionable.
The permanence of his good countenance
lies beyond the sustenance of the shrewdness
of our
insouciant condescension.

The incandescence of His amour in our lives
should remain aglow with eternal longevity,
so that any falsehood
be irreproachably reprehensible,

His presence is without pretence
That thunderous fires
owe His infallibility a debt,
Even when death has dealt with our incorrigibilities,
we must summon courage
to quench the flames of inveterate servitude.

And in solemn solitude
our being
should exude an astute gratitude,
that girds our vulnerability
with great fortitude.
And in the sober cadence of our credence,
we should attest to the sempiternal essence of God's existence,
not to be subsumed by the puerile creed
of a monk with no god.

A shrewdness of man

A shrewdness of man is not to ape the wicked that is the wisdom

Premium Member Devil's Declaration

"The devil's finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist."
                                                                 ~ Charles Baudelaire

The more he declares his innocence, the more there is to fear
he who dons disguises but beware that he's among us here.
We catch a glimpse of his impish and cunning, his wily ways
when he hides his shrewdness in sweet talk. It's how he plays
his devious game. Many monikers he bears, thinking he's slick
as he swears, "I'm peaceable." Be wary, do not fall for his trick.

Premium Member Wistful

I felt alone, though there were multiple crowds around me.
I felt, I should go to a lonely place and cry aloud.
Why, though the environs are full of flowers, there's no glee?
Death snatches the joys of the humble as well as the proud.

You were young. You, often, dreamed of a new heaven and earth.
Your thoughts, words, actions, and aspirations shone with newness.
You said you would define the fate that defined each one's birth.
Amidst your shrewdness, there was in you coolness and smoothness.

You were a friend to all. Your heart was full of love for all.
You were as uncommon as a blue moon or a shooting star.
Why should Destiny rudely send you an untimely call?
Why should you, as though the life here is not enough, go far?

Will those blissful days of fun and frolic ever come back?
Will my wistful moments, towards optimism find their track?

Premium Member Ewe

With an impulsive cognizance of the mother instinct
In physique and psyche, with her lambs, she's lovingly linked.

Her head-butting, as though she looks furious, does not hurt.
Her bleat is rhythmic, like a harmonious bass concert.

Like a mom lauds her kids, to lambs the ewe show her love.
As human spirits, is an ewe's soul, sent from above?

Cultures, religions, histories, and theologies praise
Of her flesh, blood, and veins, the science artfully portrays

Symbol of life that flows from human-divine alertness
Isn't there, in an ewe, a unique peacefulness?

Harmony of wily innocence and witty shrewdness
O ewe! You're a magnum opus of divine fullness.

Echoes of Blindness

I grew up blind
The kind that fades away with the gaping eye of knowledge
word on the tip of every patriotic tongue was independence
Little did my shut brain know, sham was a better word for it

The physicality was removed, that is certain
But ideas and creeds are still sung, venerating them
It’s as if our souls were trained for the job-faultlessly
Yet freedom is cried out from the fantasy of the beholder

How could it be that they quantify us unchained?
When the model of sophistication and elegance embellished
Fall in the wondrous sculpture molded of anything but our culture
Language is deemed "uncouth,” evermore forgotten as ancestral splendor

Colonialism ended to let on a superior beneficial exploitation
What better shrewdness than one concocted in plain sight?
We’ve seen their pockets outgrow them with our gold, our dignity
While we’re outran by their wars, and still, we grow old-blind

Premium Member the shrewdness of apes

The shrewdness of apes delights me so
I barely know where to turn, when to go.
They are more fun than a drift of hogs.
Who smell to high heaven, worse than dead frogs.

There is a school of fish that bothers me too.
They live next to the foxes in the hollow boot shoe.
Labor of moles are rolling their eyes at my plight.
Luckily the pride of lions has chosen to stay out of sight.

Am In Love With the Wind

In the realm of dreams and gaiety
A rose blooms in my heart, glamour strikes with vivacity
My stretched hand reaches to fondly pet the palm
But like wind, the goddess ghostly evanesces with a calm
Dotingly I endeavor to serenade the enchantress.

Off the warbling lute the soft ditties sing
From the changing tune, the pitch to the ears sting
Yet with a sparkling giggle your spook infatuate
With fortitude, realms I’ll cross to graduate
The school of endurance you command with shrewdness

With agility I fly, but you’re too fast to reach
Roaring water crushes at the beach
Sand so calm I hanker to hold
The setting shining sun glares, with a frail I behold
Because am in love with the wind

Slacken my love! Off my feet you sweep with desire
My heart you take; sturdily I admire
Like a magnet, your enigma besots with charm
And the goal to get I’ll praise with a psalm
For I loathe to crush on the wind

The world will mock, but the love will shush the chatter
A future so bright they’ll hail the latter
And applaud our allure’s perpetuity
With fantasy our posterity shall sing of a deity
For all is possible, even love with the wind!

Imported Goods

When might they be swarming the market
Eardrums deafening with pure racket:
The at-all-times mad desire
That makes importer a messiah:
Shipping bent on vomiting the goods
Over which the dying user broods…

A consumer’s quest for the newness
One’s government checks with a shrewdness,
Never ceasing to the Brisk Things tax,
A big loss should she choose to be lax…

Soon, Importer: Stinking Billionaire,
For this no research questionnaire:
“The checks know they should spare The Foreign
And just let the Enriching Thing reign.”

Do imports an economy kill?
You forgive them: citizens they thrill;
Their belief they’re in Europe fulfill
And variation stop from standing still…

Or else quadruple your exports,
Never compromised in their transports;
The other way of ploughing seaports
And a shake-up giving to Airports…

Your importations make China smile!
She sees you going that kind mile;
For Nigeria keeping a friend’s file.
But watch it: you stop venom-rich bile…

Don’t stop asking for electronics:
Your fun-loving kid’s animatronics.

Premium Member Aiyana Finds Her Totem Animal

Aiyana is a tiny bit jealous of her brothers.
They get to be in the sweat lodge with the men tonight.
This means they will soon be discovering their totem animals.
Why is this only for males in the Shoshone tribe? She asks her mother.

At three in the morning Aiyana finds herself out of her body.
She is now a furry wolf, running with sister wolves
She feels their loyalty and appreciates their appreciation.
They have embraced her, she is one with them, part of the pack.

We have chosen you, they tell her, for you are intelligent.
She recognizes their shrewdness and their intuitive ways.
She runs with them throughout the night sky.
In the morning, she howls her appreciation to the heavens.

Introspect

Are you educated or just literate
Can you replicate or do you just imitate
Are you original or do you plagiarize
Do you comprehend or do you just memorize

How many of your aims are on target
If your reverence for God is on a budget
Are you given to greater works
Or are you wallowing in the allure of the perks

Do you have the wit, grit and courage
Enough to complement your knowledge
A fervency that this cold world can't quell
And the shrewdness to ruthlessly sell

Though you outsmarted and are outsmarted
The soldiering on isn't for the faint hearted
But in Christ there is strength for our weakness
And great power wrapped in meekness

Life is life in the way it engages and involves
And here we are, sent as sheep among wolves
It seems towards us is the danger most dangerous
But be that as it may, we are more than conquerors

Premium Member Exegesis Rhapsody

A rainbow looms outside the window
however, she lingers quietly
for the slight strips to portray twilight
as her predominant shrewdness
strive exegesis in the vault of heaven
and they retain the darkness
captivating promises flavor edible orbs
she is doused with succulence
soulful craving skin in hellish bliss
solely for squander
where there is crown motionless
is shattered by midnight rhapsody.

Premium Member Aurora of Elysium

elysian
   adorned with faultless time-dream
       bits of insight
  trigger dim emotions
            memory gives warmness

     spooky how light needs
                haziness to thrive
           drew me away from
                      odyssey I cling to
Inner peace exists in the sky

       awaken the sun
                 egg-yellow in tone
     In the midst of
          oceanic aurora with blue shells

              Half bleared-eye
       embraced in soul stance
                          of shrewdness

      as though prevail
               intertwined
In a vast ocean of you
       forgotten rootless
                cast to the verge
       we each
                without lacking land
