"The devil's finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist."
                                                                 ~ Charles Baudelaire

The more he declares his innocence, the more there is to fear
he who dons disguises but beware that he's among us here.
We catch a glimpse of his impish and cunning, his wily ways
when he hides his shrewdness in sweet talk. It's how he plays
his devious game. Many monikers he bears, thinking he's slick
as he swears, "I'm peaceable." Be wary, do not fall for his trick.

I enjoyed reading your "Devil's Declaration" Rhyme write with a great picture. So much said in just 6 lines. He is full of lies. He started with Eve & has not stopped. This one can make some think... Have a fun day writing away...............

Nicely penned Lin, yeah he’s a real sweet talker, but it’s always lies, when a devil is in disguise, he’s full of it! Who could fall for such tricks? oh only about 66.6% of the people, your poem kicks ass, cheers David

Your percentage is noted, David. lol it’s said the devil has a velvet tongue. He obviously thinks so, but velvet crushes when it’s worn too long. “Kick ass” is a compliment that makes me smile. Thanks!
