My life or so I thought was smooth-cruising
did all I could do to keep it going that way
then one day it all went downhill fast
what more can I say
our love so I believed was never-ending
the happy couple in a fairy tale come true
when the story ended my friend
who knew what else I could do
if she was sad I didn't see she didn't speak
not a word was said
if things were bad it didn't show
so how was I to know
her love for me was stone cold dead
then she left me and when she walked out
I wanted to scream wanted to shout
but I could only whisper to myself,
“Well what the hell was that all about?”
All I'm left with is take note
now she's no longer here nor there
sunlight reflecting off specks and motes
of memory dust floating in the air
For 40 years,
They had roamed about.
Now, it was time to shout.
At the Jordan River,
And oh what a quiver!
Those strong walls fell down,
When they heard the mighty sound.
There was another shout in the
Promise land, heard by every man.
The enemy strengthened their hand.
They fought back and never ran.
There was another shout in Bible land.
Too many people could not understand.
Shouts of joy and praise did rang out.
If people did not, the rocks would shout.
Embrace peace is the way
Stop, listen , help the broken hearts!
God’s there ready to answer you
Cry out ~ Cry out
Its ok, to scream and shout
Get the freedom you deserve
Smash every chain
Strongly round your heart today
I did it for my heart
Its great to be free, as a bird in flight
Soaring above the clouds
Observing the beauty, the peace
Healing of deep wounds
It did hurt ~knocked me down
But, never ~ knocked out
Let faith arise , set us free together
Free to be me
Free to be you
I’ve turned up my music
It chills and inspires me today
A day of writing for me
It shall be ~
I started to clap, but no-one joined in.
Do people not do that here? I asked.
But at least my applause was genuine,
Unlike a round with which one is tasked --
Pressure to buy several pints, feeling casked,
Pegged to a keg of expectation
When all you want is icy hydration.
Not feeling awkward as the odd one out
Is one of my social aspirations
When silence distorts one sound as a shout.
Shout BLUESKY
Those the marshmallow clouds walk across pale blue hue skies;
Birds peek-O-boo, gliding by in and out poked out chest;
Blue birds, Sparrows, Robins and Redbreast;
All natures cries…
Shout BlueSky
Blues skies
While, whisk slithering whining sliding back N forth N and out;
On hot heated grassed grounds stomaching the glide front side slides shouts;
Caterpillars, worms all bellies crawling;
They to join the choir sing chorus they look up
All natures cries…
Shout BlueSky
Blues skies

‘The ego shouts, but wisdom whispers.’ —A Zen philosophy.
The weaver bird screeches without pause in the tree,
trying to convince a mate to move in.
I slam the window shut on the noise.
His ego bruised and in pure disgust,
he rips apart the nest that took a whole day to build.
Raising one’s voice has never won an argument.
A whispering voice draws people in,
fragments or whole thoughts shaped by time—
wisdom distilled from discarded ego.
I open the window to a world misunderstood,
gathering the brittle twigs of tolerance, convinced
poetry is born in the pauses between spoken words.
A shout is a dishonest whisper
'Tis afraid
Fatally insecure ~
Never to reach a human ear

Southern California way
Vacations being a stay

Entertainment under the same shade
Scripts lines after another
Blunders through retakes
Dramatics and Comedy combined

Determination and Inspiration
Some make it and some don’t
If it is not destiny, a person won’t
Confidence behind the scene
Script words in what they mean

That’s Entertainment
A SHOUT OUT TO LADY JUSTICE
How can you stand there,
Blindfolded and pleasingly
Enjoying the day?!
Hey! Wake up, Lady Justice!
You're being molested!
6.
Soundless Shout
Alas! Ouch! What is this thing pulling me out?
Off in my mother's womb where I came about
Aray! Oh I'm now bleeding
Aray! My flesh here shredding
I'm helpless, nobody hears my soundless shout!

*Topsy-Turvy Limerick Ironic
crystal cave in Springfield Missouri
full of underground rooms and a jail
ghost room where spirits whisper and scurry
enormous concert hall, hearty and hale
Rainbow Falls and witches bathtub too
domed ceiling chimes room which can sing
helicite room with walls shadowing blue
excited tourists many busses bring
It's
all appearance~
these words
are empty as
all words are
empty~
Empty words
appear to
shout out~~
Rushing back with my shout
drinks held aloft skew-whiff.
I was spun all around
like a wild water spout,
caught by brush
flush with haste
shame's a gush
blush disgraced
crowd's hush-hush
pants for watching -
as we wonder around the supermarket
my daughter pushes her own trolley
she's trying to give her brother's shins a wallop
he shouts at her - how dairy
the trolley is confiscated; we look for the extra strong mints
there's a dog in a trolley
looking shell-shocked
we pass the ham
my son talks of hamlet
my daughter, in the trolley; her cheeks scrape against
the frozen food doors
sweet chin music in the fruit aisle
i jump on the melons
in snack limbo
we find the mints and confectionary
we can't find the car
cash and carry blues
a trolley is rolling towards us at 20 mph
we're running out of thyme
I’ve often thought that goodness whispers her wisdom softly…
and we must be quiet to hear her words….
while evil has to shout above its ignorance in order to be heard.
But this makes it too easy for ignorance and evil
in our world unconditionally run about….
So it’s time for goodness with its wisdom
to stand up…
find its voice…
and shout!
