The Weeping Willow tree was just another tree to me.
Then the wind blew.
And I glanced at her.
So she danced with me.
our love in carved in a willow tree
looking out so everyone can see
how much you mean to me
together is how it's meant to be
My willow tree will soon be bare
Already the leaves are falling
But when Spring comes calling
The tiny buds are waiting there
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
green reeds softly sway
sunlight paints the willow trees
cares drift, fall away
hummingbird's green
array seen in willow tree...
no, three leaves windblow
I am seeing things this morn!!Ha!!
Willow tree leaning, hunched
Weeping leaves into steams skipping
Over stones and decaying twigs.
Ships that pass unseeing
In the shade.
"My Willow Tree" -- Chuck Jackson
The willow's tears are not for me, love has set me free.
For me the place to be is under the willow tree,
sitting in shade, lost in words, for when I venture
out the sunshine burns and withers me.
spring buds
upon the willow tree
chirping birds
melting snow
foot prints on lawn
child's laughter
spring flowers
under my window
rebirth
spring explodes with morning glee
soft breeze stirs the willow tree
robins bounce upon green grass
bullfrogs croak - a mystery
weeping willow trees
unbreakable in grace bend
survival and hope!
Inspired by Victor Buhagiar "Barren Branches Of a Willow Tree Die"
four chickadees
visited the bird bath; bathed....
willow tree died; gone
an empty bird feeder hangs
exhibit of owner's health....
An apparition
A flicker of light
A storm on the high seas
A weeping willow tree
Tangerine sunset
sinks below the horizon.
Willow tree whispers
welcoming blue velvet sky,
cloaking us with diamond light.
Weeping willow tree, you sob bitter tears when autumn steals your clothes.
you're a sign of hope
and bend without breaking
strength and resilience
birds gather for comfort
cradled within your branches
seeking swaying grace
"the willow tree"
a masked nuthatcher
swings on willow's flexible limb....
hungry ants meet fate
The ants climb the Weeping Willow Tree
to get a sap that is on it..
empty willow tree
bare limbs hang still no birds come...
birds' water frozen
birds' chirps all quiet
front yard filled with birds feeding...
oak shed its acorns
As the tides roll in off the sea
Erased are the days memories
In sand many poems were written
Epithets sketched in bare feet-
Reading the unwritten-
Under the shade of fading willow tree
Wistfully
Inspiring
Long tendrils of branches
Lull
Observers
With a sense of beauty and calmness
Treasure
Rooted in
Earth
Exquisite joy it brings, to all a gentle song it sings
Stars bright shining in the sky
Goddess twinkling in my eye
Shining on my willow tree
Meditating on bended knee
Goddess smiling face I see
Send it back three times three
Hoof-deep in twilight,
the willow braids its green hair~
slow feast of shadows.
Earth tastes of salt and thunder
when the sky leans down to watch.
The seasons turn,
But you stand firm
Your weeping willow branches
Lay softly like
A wedding gown
Delicate, beautiful
A wonder to the human eye
How miraculous a tree can grow
With the changing of the seasons
Weeping Willow tree,
wave gently over me,
hide me from the breeze.
I wish to serve cake, peppermint tea,
Delighted you munch so happily
no other place, I would rather be..
then sheltered in wispy custody.
Tiny droplets released from a weeping willow tree
Gently touch things of all sorts
to cool burning anger
to relieve this passive fear
and soften the hearts of we the cursed dead,
finally returning to the ground.
