such longing in a long sad, drawn-out train whistle
do metal objects have feelings?
this sound makes the idea plausible
Choof, choof, choof the train
Along the rickety track,
Load the coal, toot the whistle,
Cross the trestle, clickety clack.
all the way
play a whistle
echo in the lonely streets
if anyone doesn't hear
street light shine
after that who knows
The train whistle puffs
Frail familiarity
A world passes by
Muffled train sounds die away
White clouds of smoke drift behind
whistle dentist ties bounds
jewells rate capture mourning ear
balcony right sings doom
accordion flies
harvest room miss bows
...???
i blew the steam
whistle as a
warning
but i couldn't
stop my train
of thought
from going
off it's
tracks

Birds is a funny thing, says I.
Some will whistle. Some will fly.
Some might even eat a worm.
If you are one, you should squirm.
Recommended holiday reading, this epistle
comes your way as an interrogative missile
~ Whither the Oscar Meyer Wiener Whistle
Train whistle of desperation
Speaks of others travels
Is it hauling people or cattle?
One big difference
People wear tennis shoes
As you pass by my grave
all covered in roses
whistle a dirge
sit down and pretend you care
afterall you were the reason
i drowned
The brown of the earth
caked on my hand
filling ridges too
where tools had rested
all morning
waiting forever
for the lunch whistle
My Mother liked to whistle
Which made my Father bristle
Although Mum whistled well
Dad thought it unladylike for a gel
To whistle, abyssal
Ring-a-ring O’Townsmen,
A pocketful of strawberries,
Whistle-on! Whistle-on!
Pennies all fall down.

I cannot whistle
It's sad but true
I try and try
yet no sound comes through
My lips I purse
My teeth I grit
I try real hard
but blow out spit
O' the summer breeze
Cool and satisfying winds
A soothing whistle
O' the summer breeze
Now gone, for winter is here
O' the frosty winds.
A poet’s fart is seldom heard
But dealt and smelt from just a word
They will make you cry
As they whistle by
So let them fly just like a bird
mournful train whistle
it must be moving caskets
will it ever stop
the wailing continues
it sounds like a distraught mother
burying a child
whistle back to a bird you hear
you ought to share their cheer
you’ve listened to their voices and songs
giving back is where friendship belongs
My little mate
the blackbird
would sense I am no more
and mourn me with a whistle
and a goodbye song
maybe his family
would join the singalong.
Death is the ultimate destination
Life is the path towards it
Birth is the starting point of this race
Run, run , run till the final whistle hear.
The Whistleblower came on deck
Lifeguard whistle around her neck
Although she was bare
No one else would dare
To flaunt Donald Trump's rubber check
Penny was lost in the city
A passing young lad thought her pretty
He gave her a whistle
This made Penny bristle
She scowled at the lad, what a pity
Knew a young lady named Joan
Had a full body erogenous zone
Just shaking her hand
Blew her whistle and
Her face turned a deep crimson tone
As peace reinstalls again
Starts to see the world without
An unclouded sight of life
That shimmers your face

Penny Petty plays a pennywhistle.
She plays the pennywhistle pretty well.
I offered her a dollar for her whistle,
But pretty Penny Petty wouldn't sell.
