A Long Awaited Friend Returns
Oh how beautiful the flowers spiral

each touching with vivid colored hues

saying to my heart

a long awaited friend returns

bright like the sun that weds the sky

in soft crystal blue....

Black Noon

Black Noon
The restive wind
weds the surging waves
merging spirits and souls
leching away meekness
spiced with weakness
as the way is paved
for the destruction
that rummages at noon

The Decoration
The water-pool was
thickly covered with
roses;
a decoration for the
marriage.
The fishes in the pool
died after some time
due to suffocation.

Some days later the
roses rotted.

Long live the
newly-weds!...

Premium Member Two More Limericks Re Marital Trials and Tribulations
I
A happily married man is he
Who weds, not for love, but for policy.
His life will be clover
If his wife will sign over
Not the deed to her heart, but her property.

II
A woman who weds for the pleasure,
May live to repent at her leisure.
When she's no more excuses
For her husband's abuses,
A close bond with her lawyer she'll treasure....

I Lost
we have come to the cross-road
and i am lost to death
 with you i come
i lingered endlessly to pick the choice
but the darkness of my douth
    i flee
you lifted the lamp of my lost
 you asked if am fine
 yes i answer
i saw your face in the light
and i glittered like the ray of
the sun
we sing in weds of laughter
and we are all blessed....

Minichu: Savory Cheese
Heart weds mind when writing
Minichu, a wondrous form of poetic piece.
Ah, biting

Lips, stroking brow,
I nibble this savory cheese,
And Wow!

I chime,
And, mind at ease,
Rhyme.

Heart weds mind when writing;
I nibble this savory cheese —
Rhyme.

Lilly Pad and Frogs
A tree mast broken
Changes pond to pillow fast ...
The frog is asleep

The lilly pad swims
And toad applauds toad in songs
The moon will rise soon

Water turns to dream
Light kisses the heart of leaf -
Tadpole becomes groom

Lilly blooms sunlight
Frog calls mate and hug to leaf -
Day weds dawn and moon

A lilly leafed hope
The frog sang and perched in pond -
Silver falls the rain

What I Live For
I live for
Peanut butter and cheese sandwiches.
Toasted in my toaster...usually when my world is in slumber
None to to judge me.
No butter...decadent enough .
I slather the caramel coloured concoction
On warm bread...to the edges.
slapping on a slab of cheese
I watch as the heat melts and weds it to the bread.
Then I settle in to enjoy the moment.
It is then I realize...I live for the moment....

Premium Member Love Is Actually This
Romance is mistaken very often for that thing we call love; it happens all the time. Boy meets girl, boy weds girl, and they both adore one another! Poets write of this in rhyme. But can love continue in this way to soar? It takes work! The path is not always sublime! We grow with practice; love is actually THIS: God’s plan so that we’ll know divinity. The Bride
She stands before the looking glass
her wedding day is here at last
a face of porcelain - milky white
a gown of ivory - satin light
stephanotis grace her hair
never such a lady fair
fragrant lilies of early May
will be the blooms in her bouquet
in one more hour she'll say her vow
before the altar she will bow
she'll turn and smile to the man she weds
and everyone will bow their heads
down the aisle as man and wife
out in the world to start their life...

She Cut Her Curls
Trees of Oak and Chestnut,
at opposing sides of my kitchen,
as I, a leaf, dwell in the centre.

A maiden, see, cut her wig
’till the carpet was adorned with curls,
and grasped within coldness, then
she ripened to step away.

For her, he held his breath,
with respect to the branches; watchful
inclined to lean their way.

His lips and the leaf’s did hug
as platinum was placed upon fingers,
and the kitchen decorated by time
was left to the newly weds....

Until the Mirror Cracks
The ego of the atheist,
himself the standard bearer
Where power of a mortal mind,
inflates beyond repair

His facts he weds intensely,
dimension fencing in
What’s not explained, he must profane,
all emptiness within

Whose formulas and strictures,
his Rosary to proclaim
What can’t be solved, new facts resolve,
dismissive in his shame

The ending predetermined,
his choices lock the door
Alone, his dialectic dies
—naked to implore

(The First Book Of Prayers: January, 2022)...
