Unintentional Learning

In writing
a poem or a novel,

the writer,
learns about himself;

he won't always
like what he learns,

for writing,
is like tilling a garden:

some dirt gets
turned up with the soil.

Steep Path

Come down gingerly.
The deep snow is melting.
Will wait at pass.

It was a toxic
snub unintentional.
Growing poppies.

The thinker thinks not;
in the poem of terror,
the blood will spill.

Trees of Old

Trees have a kind of flexibility,
Given time they will grow
And left untouched
Branches will wrap around
With twisted, gnarled limbs,
Integrating themselves
Into unintentional abstract art.
A photographer's dream.

Time

TIME
I am singing the song of present time
Love is sometimes an accidental and unintentional crime
Do you want to divide a number that is prime
Universe is a lullaby to chime

Confetti Heart

My heart is a little lonely home with
confetti cannons;
It soars with smoke and sparkling stardust;
My heart pounds with no destination for the rush of everything so intense;
At the risk of an unintentional direct hit?
I shut it down in self defense.

Freudian Slips of the Tongue

many a foot in month
statement uttered
wish that they could
be taken back but
they never can be
many an unintentional
tactless remark were
thoughtlessly
abruptly bluntly
blurted out during
unchecked moments
of Freudian slips of the
tongue

Surmise

Listen to poem:
perhaps quite unintentional
how your every word
manipulates my heart

i'm in a gilded cage
prisoner of your every whim
and you don't know it

one word from you
let me surmise
one word from you
and i can soar the skies

The Yellow Design of Love

The yellow design of love
Lost and forgotten
Words given new meaning
Reality, never alone
Foresaken truth
A youth divided
Her decisions unknown
Where does she go from here?

When the passion settles
In it's absence, ash
Memory engraved
His loves remains
Unintentional freedom

Porous Prose

when you read a poem
consider the probability
that what seem to be chopped off phrases
and shreds of dangling sentences
are actually jagged blocks and slabs
of porous prose lumped and crammed
in a page in a manner that's ...

           ... not entirely

                    ... unintentional.

Unintentional

Facing the unknown.
Only to feel alone.
Future incognito.
Gambled tomorrow.
Things planned.
Permanent trip in hand.
Constant Worriment.
Lost merriment.
Past presents...
Recent judgments.
Uncountable days…
Endless dismays.
Agitation of mind.
Sign of the times.
An unintentional write.
Of an internal fight.

Fall In Love

Fall in love
Done not on purpose
Usually strike in juxtaposition
Awkward situation, unpredictable
Unplanned, yet troublesome joy
There's friction and elation of joltness
Rare blushing to flashing smiles
There's opposition in motion of oneself
Misdirection in walking, unshakable mistrust
Unintentional looking of watch
Drumbeat heart and lovable murmuring.

I Have a Heart and It's Soft-

One of my prekindergarten students said to me this…

Mr. Lee I have a heart
And it is soft…
Do you love me?
I love you
And this is right
Isn’t it…

I said yes sir but only…Unintentional
Humanitarian
Spiritually
And Godly

This is the only righteous way to be
For I love you back righteously see

Name Dropper Inspired By Contest

Two limericks

There is a truth I must tell and it is a whopper
I don't come from much, but married a Hopper
I'm not playing games
When I make it rain
Though unintentional, I have became a name dropper

I have seven missed calls from Justin Bieber
My stacks of fan mail just keep getting steeper
I hate to be vain
But can't entertain
Every filthy rich and famous creeper

Unwaking

When you quit
I will grab your smoky voice
and embrace the cyanosis.

It was not brain insult.
The blues under the eyes
were unintentional.

Molestation was not the choice.
Your marbled face
becomes cold and hard.

The frozen lake.
Bring the music to break
the ice. The black sun.

Unleash the stockpile
of tears. The life has taken
an ominous turn.

The Soul of a Conscious Compulsive Liar

Today again, I lied
Didn’t want to but I had to hide
Deceit, it’s wrong I know
Unintentional the lie just flowed

“Good God fix it” he says
I want to, but I have no ways
Another lie, cold sweat and terror sways
Better to just run away

“No! You won’t grow” he yelled
An empty aid, too old
Alright tomorrow then, I told
I lied to myself, that’s gold

Morning comes, today again I lied

A Frolic For Children and Puppies

Rolling bodies,
Grass stained jeans
And shouts, yips, and nips
Punctuate the air
As the child and puppy
Roll in the grass of the yard.
Squirt gun fights,
An unintentional bath,
Painted with frivolity
and water as the
Sound of laughter
And playful taunts,
Fill the air around
The children who chase
And play oblivious
To the invisible moat
That repels the perils
Outside the yard.

My Valentine

Every year this time comes round
And sometimes I forget
You know it's unintentional
It slips my mind and yet

I get such a guilty feeling
That I should have known
It sets my senses reeling
The chances I have blown

Those chances that I can't get back
The times to say I love you
You know I always think it but
I know that I should tell you

So now I say the best I can
At this special time
I really, really love you Ma'am
You are my Valentine

Premeditated- For Reverse Contest

Premeditated
The pain you inflict
The trap that you set
Ordered by obsession
Made of twisted ropes
Premeditated
Unintentional wounds
Can be forgiven
Thoughtless words and acts
Like sand through fingers
For premeditated Spite
More grace than usual needed
To forgive
Born in hate
Rooted in misconceptions
Fed by jealousy
Premeditated murder of a soul
A higher sentence
Longer time
Unforgivable crime
Premeditated

Maybe, I Love You

Inferno
Entry
Soul’s window

Liquid satin
Blanketing sin

Unintentional embrace
Spoken word
Spoken soft
Spoken
Whisper

Speechless

Longing

Longing
Tears
Held

Hold me

Hold me
As if God
Condemned our tomorrows
Suddenly

Ventricle screams
Smile rediscovered
Eyes unwrapped

Even after all these years

Rush
Waves
Crash

Song of infant
Church Bells

Desired

Discovery
This belief
That maybe

Just maybe…

Peers

Truth is, my fellow peers throughout my school years,
I am the unintentional eavesdropper, the one who is so quiet that I actually listen.
I listen to everything you whisper or speak loudly of to each other,
Sitting at my desk working as hard as I can.
Honestly, part of me feels like a mad genius who feels high above you,
Yet another part is someone who can absorb your behaviour or speech,
Someone who deep down is just exactly as lazy and talkative, when I want to be.
