I am Robert Wagner. I am the husband of Ruth, and the father of Andy, Luke, Meg, and Beth. I am a professional musician, educator, composer, pastoral minister, director of liturgy and music, and, a part-time poet. Up to July 1 of 2019, I served in parish ministry in varioius parishes, rural, suburban, and inner city for 42 years. The past 25 years I have also served as an ordained deacon in parishes. I have walked with many people through the good and bad times in their lives. I have been there at their births and at their deaths. The most profound experience in my life has been my marriage to Ruth and parenting our children. The majority of my poems are directed to Ruth who is, to use an image from the Jewish Theologian and Philospher, Martin Buber,  the personfication of God in my life.
