In the desert ...
It's all I long for,
Yet it leaves me thirsty ...
For so much MORE.
While litres of milk drifted down the deity's idol like a river, the thirsty stomach on the temple steps wetted its lips.
Dancing the words to lance the boil
With grace and style but no toil
Watering the soul’s thirsty soil
Poetry sings the mortal coil
Bubbling
Cool, refreshing
Water, giver of life
In this desperate, cracked, thirsty
Parched land
Splashing down a jagged mound
into a pond with laughing sound
sparkled by sun, stirred by breeze
cocktail of stars for thirsty gees
My best girlfriend
Used all her efforts for you
Begged humbly fate
Nourished her thirsty hearts
Sailed before wind then, won you.
