Transplant the organs, one by one,
And when the surgery is done
Transfer the most important part:
A conscience to his heart.
She waits all alone
Not certain what will happen
Hospital awaits

“Hey, when is my turn?”
asks the horse.
“Hold your horses,”
says the plastic surgeon,
“while I give the duck
a quick nip and tuck.”
She gasps now, in pain
As the gentle therapist
Extends her ballooning limb
~ In childbirth's pangs
Ends always justified means
Naïve minds can barely perceive
The tricks that reside up a sleeve
Surgery plastic
Achieves the fantastic
Deception men want to believe
plastic surgery
features are frozen in time
grimace locked in place

Three line poetry contest – Debbie Guzzi
Said he to she
dismissively
It's only
minor surgery
Said she to he
lightheartedly
Give me the knife
I'll play with your life
Ophelia had cancerous breasts
According to all of the tests
But old Doctor Kaiser
Was simply a miser
Who plundered the most treasured chests
All we needed was land,
They gave us land,
We possess large tracts,
Years of talk and media hype;
We remain sick after surgery.
True beauty.
Plastic surgery.
Needy men.
Broken women.
Spoiled brats.
And hungry children.
The world is broken,
Too broken to pick up the pieces
F- Fear of pain; complications
E- Eclat operation
A- Answer to prayer pain free

(I have a date for surgery
March 16, 2011..)
I'm almost fifteen. Can I get a tattoo?
Sorry. Not in our state...
How 'bout gender-transformation surgery?
Sure, no problem. That'd be great!
Holding hands in the crowded corridor
A tender moment amidst the horror
You smiled at me, and touched my heart
I returned the favor ~ thus did we part
A fine poet and doctor is he
But my chats with him stopped suddenly.
He cut into me good.
It makes sense that he would
since his specialty is surgery!
When my body begins to burgeon,
I go to see my plastic surgeon.
His magic tucks and nips
will make me smaller hips;
but he just smiles and says, “Stop splurgin'.”

My son is having heart surgery this week..I would appreciate
your prayers. Love to my soup friends.. BG
I wasn’t fearful
You Lord surrounded me with love
calmed my anxious thoughts
surgery was a success
that is how awesome, You are

My
Doctors'
surgery could
do with some music.
And some decent lighting.
And better looking receptionists.
And possibly a dancing pole in the middle.
Oh and a Buffet.
the
real shape
of your heart
will be revealed
not on your best day
but on the worst of them;
when your reaction
to misfortune
is witnessed
by your
foes.
She was a pariah
In her own family
Two angry parents
Said “I wish you had died”
She was two
But she got the message
They were angry
Because her surgery cost them money
there was a young surgeon named Bob
who learned his craft on the job
on a post op exam
with stethoscope in hand
realized where he left his Swiss watch and fob
at the tree surgery
do i have abnormal fixation ~ or some branch of paranoia
all other canopies stare at me ~ so bays this giant sequoia

My turnover, leafy cheek saw and salvaged
From Autumn's remains— this Winter's surgery,
White stitchery for washed-out color; dead cells...
...nip bright for scars on
From God Needed Nourishment
From God needed enough nourishment;
Daily by Him much surgery underwent;
Quite a Guy;
On did rely;
From committing sin, He would prevent.
