   Spools for a day.
Wound up with what they say.
   Tighter and tighter.
   The insanity won't go away.
   A year or two marinating.
   Chaos has won.
   Then the spring becomes undone....

Sometimes you have to break
So that the light seeps in
Slowly through open cracks
Sealing scars and your fears
Shining bright inside out
Sewing cloaks of wisdom
Spools of thread now untwined.

Trump Should Know
Trump Should Know

Trump should know there are many schools,
Of thought that always try to avoid all fools;
Like idiot blooming,
Himself is grooming;
Going around in circles like thread in spools.

Sweat Shop Bazaar
Seaming in a sewing room, earning his copper coins in twos. With patterns, tools, & spools, fast pace so hard to do. Rusty fans that are always frozen, feed dog staying broken with a boss who's constantly smoking fine Cuban cigars. Just another day at Sweat Shop Bazaar....

Prejudiced HATREDS are the HARDEST THREADS to break.

But you and I will be tied and bound by our heartstrings
Tethered, by the unbroken circles of our wedding rings

Sweet sentimental stitches sewn from spools of silver silk.

In the clear light
Beauty springs bright

Such floral hues
Where thrills now cue

Beauty speaks well
As visuals tell

Know in your heart
A lavish start

Art now impacts
In actual fact

See thus the truth
In ample proof

Beauty now spools
A mystic drool

The Dreamer's Shadow
My shadow wears
clean underwear
a freshly cleaned frock
and shoes that are smart
and it knows
the order of things
its hair is like
black spools of raw silk
my shadow is a dreamer
dancing, prancing and dreaming
of things above ground and under the sun
and follows me ‘til the day is done.

Never be afraid of your shadow :-)...

Prints of Daffodils
The bed covers grew longer and longer.
As the continuous thread was fed,
from the spindle to the spools unwinding and rewinding,
from spool to spool twisting and weaving its threads,
through the eyes of the needles,
and into stitches of rows that zigged zagged,
In alternating colors of yellows, blues, and reds,
with prints of daffodils across the covered beds....

Unfolding
In the interim
 Between birth and death
 I appear visible
 As air becomes breath

 Whirling I spin
 The warp and weft
 Of tremulous, fickle
 Vagrant flesh

 The stuff of dreams
 Sparkling and wet
 Oozes and spools
 In echoing depths

 In underground pools
 Whose length and breadth
 Is the height of oblivion
 In memory's debt

The Less Than Rich, Or Famous
Taking a bit in his season to spin about their coast this coast
Around her globe the same old song as dance, headlines; wrenching
Stomachs wretched poisons turning your ever present of prevailings truths
Kept be a bitter bottle her babylon; forever and a day it seems this purity oils lamp
Subjugated unto darkened spools his spawned weaving children; fallon's prince their air....

Be as a fool
A pawn or tool

Fool in a sage
A fine blank page

Sage beyond fear
As finesse cheers

Fear hides in dark
As terror Parks

Dark is the night
In strange black flight

Night sets the stage
To ink blank page

Stage your own show
Where new light grows

Show in fine style
A charming smile

Style thus dear fool
Such placid spools

Late hours ply poise
Hurl night time voice

A night sky deep
As darkness creeps

Stray breeze feels cool
As slumber spools

Cats roams these streets
As midnight greets

Late night skyline
Stray moonglow fine

Dark is the night
In mystic sight

Moon spreads blue tints
As echoes mint

Cats in full spree
Gang up with glee

Sleep does not come
My verse lines sum

Premium Member As the Body From the Soul
I choose
the strongest thread
amongst the many spools
in my house
to mend
my garments

I pull the loose end of the thread
on the spool of thread
in the sewing basket
slowly
until the thread is taut
and there is no slack

I pull and pull
the thread
until as in the end
the thread leaves the spool
and floats free in the air
as a body from a soul

I leave
the empty spool
in the old sewing basket
while the strong thread
mends
my family’s torn garments...

Premium Member I Wove You a Poem
I had a dream.
In the dream I wove you a poem.

I used the fiber of my character
to create spools of silken thread.

Then I dyed them
in the colors of my imagination.

I reinforced
each and every single strand
with the strength of my love.

Spun the spools
from the intricacy
of my spirit.

Enamored by your vision,
I pattern every part of me,
every memory,
into every filament of my fabric.

Finished
I initialed my woven piece.

Eyes can touch
If you but see
Just as much
As truth that frees

Verse wit spools
In happy thrill
In kind pool
Of poignant deal

Writes now surge
In quantum trip
In clear urge
Where voice firms grip

To know cheer
In sad and pain
Feels so clear
In loss and gain

By this gate
Watch what measures
Splurge of fate
In sound treasure

Why ask why
When you know fest
In a sigh
Hurls your own quest

Sunset Dreams
Dazzling flecks of gold fall lightly from flight, joy and grace spun from translucent silk spools. The sun like orange sherbert melts from my sight, resplended in a rich robe of fine jewels. A cooling sky bathes in soft sunlit pools. Honeysuckle blooms on the horizon. Cotton clouds yawn, puffing over the sun. Taste the sweet dreams of her ripened peach gloam. From Heaven, kisses goodnight have begun. The sun, now spent, sleeps so bright stars can roam.
