Staying True
The slowest dolphin
Swims faster than a cheetah
Wearing costume fins;
So I'll do my best, knowing
No dolphin can run like me...

Tick-Tack
sometimes i feel that the time
runs faster than me,
that I becomes slowest than a snail,
that with a snap a fingers,
i can turn myself in a memorie....

A vaporetto upon the sea
A love departs that could never be-
Tears trickle down face,
Mahler played at his slowest pace,
Langsum,adagietto-slow.

My Rhyme
Roses are black.

Violets are dead.

Love is bitterly sweet.

Like a shot to the head.

They say love will kill you.

It will be the slowest form of suicide you've ever met....

Tick Tock
Does time always stand so still
-sometimes a distraction eases the dullness
But the time always haunts me
Come 4 o’clock
A witching hour
I know I’m missing something
The slowest hour of all
Tick Tock
My heart flops around the clock...

My Regret
I never liked typing in school,
boring to me, couldn't follow the rules.
Mistakes I made, way too many to pass,
I believe I was the slowest one in my class.
I made it through, but by the hair of my teeth,
some folks might need it, but surely not me.
Now I need those skills of old,
I write poetry, but I'm way to slow....

In This Fall
In this fall
The time retracts slowly

The wind comes from all corners
Makes it long life

Message written on flowers
Fades along this fall

But the wind brings their smells
Spreads away to the entire life

When the slowest motion
Reachs the final line

The old message
Lives in the deepest hearts

Brings peace to this rest...

Curse
I think it's the numbness
That hurts me the most.
That droning sound of silence.

I think it's the desparity
That kills me the slowest.
That makes me crave more violence.

But I know for sure,
Beyond any doubt,
That the loneliness is the worst.

With its low, throbbing ache
And the voids that it makes,
I fear, I am forever cursed....

Premium Member this might be the year
Two toad brothers racing to the swamp
On the backs of their favorite snails
Get outrun by all of the other toads

Let them win, Lee tells his brother
I would rather ride, even if we are the slowest
Maybe those who are last will get a prize said his brother.

Redundant conversation they have every annual race
Optimistically thinking “this might be the year”...

Dream Walking
Clouds are dancing
the slowest waltz
my heart beat slows
as does gestalt

an umber light
glows in the ground,
without making
the smallest sound

Trees swaying
out of time
and rivers flow
without a rhyme

eyes grow heavy
head falls beyond,
a violin sings
a break in the pond

as chariots on waves
start rolling in,
the dreamtime faded
and reality set in

On the Sparrow's Beak
A passerine bird,
One of the smallest of sizes,
With a beak almost minute.
On its beak you can count many;
the tiniest to biggest,
the slimmest to the fattest,
the lightest to the heaviest,
the ugliest to the finest,
the sourest to the sweetest,
the slowest to the swiftest.
All on this paltry beak,
it houses them all.
And what do you liken this beak to?
A lad's might,it is....

Premium Member Dozing On a Sleepy Dawn
What a DAZZLING SUNRISE
Why do I despise sleep, so?
I am watching with my naked eyes.
It is much a MOSAIC display

With gradual surprises and
Standing perfectly STILL on its
BLUE BED OF SKY.
What is the EYE, performing a
Moisturizing TECHNIQUE each
TIME it blinks?

I'm blinking now. I am to
Perform the slowest blink I
Know.
WATCHING THE QUIET OF
THE FALLING SNOW....

Wishful Thinking
If I could dance with memories,
that dance would be, you and me.

The slowest kind while holding you,
that wishful thought, turning true.

If I could kiss those lips I dream,
a sultry night, we'd paint that scene.

Wish for walks hand in hand,
a moonlit beach on desert sand.

This wish to make all memories,
from wishes to reality.

A wish for you back by my side,
not with the stars, where you now hide....

Premium Member Burn
Burn for everything that you have ever wanted
Burn for everything you have ever lost
Burn for every fraction of every moment
Burn the highest for a new lease of life
Burn the slowest when your in love
Burn the lowest when you fear
Burn sometimes like a fire possessed
Burn till you light up that dark path
Burn brightest when you share that warmth
Burn for nothing would kill you
Faster than a dying flame!

Premium Member Magical, Mysterious Glasses
I once was a slow reader, the slowest reader in the room,
Unable to see the words with my eyes.
And so I went to an eye quack,
He prescribed glasses in black,
Then, no more headaches, I could now become wise.

These glasses allowed me to see, see clearly every word I read,
I now love to read every word that I can.
I’m so glad I have these specs,
They’re my special convex,
I’m now a colossal reading excavating superman....

Premium Member Dreams Made of Twigs of Pain
A turbulent stream cascades on dry desert floor
Foaming waters flow up the high dunes in spree
Summer sun burns wasteland to green in the core
The charcoal night lights up the daytime debris.

Life is shattered by time’s smooth flow at its slowest
In chilled winter night I’m smoldered and in strain
A wandering wounded deer I find a tiny bird nest
To lie on sweet dreams I make with twigs of pain.

Umuahai
The bustling, hustling and bumping of humans
Vehicular moves
An early hour rush
We the fools rushed
The ease of a fool
The slowest thing in the human cosmos
At the crossroads we stood,
O yes FMC !
Beating traffic rules is in our blood ,
Opposite GTB are images of Ochendos
A rickety railway smiling at the banks
Smokes of suya tempting
The heavenlies
Does the heavenliest eat suya?
Adjacent are jobless readers jaw jawing politics
At the newspapers stand
Umuahia my Second Home...
