the slowest of the slow

this old lady is the slowest receptionist in the world
I can call her old lady, because she is probably my age
so it cannot be discrimination, right?

she must be somebody’s great aunt
or a cousin of a sister’s friend’s grandma
there is no other reasonable explanation.

she is slow to answer the phone
slow to take your money
wants to waste other people’s time
speaking to you when you want to go
and they are waiting.

the slowest of the slow
