Wishful Thinking

If I could dance with memories,
that dance would be you and me.

The slowest kind while holding you,
that wishful thought turning true.

If I could kiss those lips I dream,
a sultry night, we'd paint that scene.

Wish for walks hand in hand,
a moonlit beach on desert sand.

This wish to make all memories,
from wishes to reality.

A wish for you back by my side,
not with the stars, where you now hide.

So sad, Mark. I can feel your heartache through your words. I wish she would come back for you, too.

Thank you so much Daniel. It has been a very painful process, my dealing with her absence. The writing allows an outlet for my grief. I appreciate your sentiments, if only! Thanks for taking time to read and comment.
