Fog in the morning
Shrouding the telephone pole
Across the still street
The mysteries of the world
Shrouded in my ignorance
thunderclouds
shrouding the grave
my falling tears

What defines flow
to coffin from womb
am I a shell -
a cloak shrouding neon
or am I
an oyster
devoid of pearl,
simply meat, drifting
between rock
and coral -
no divinity but squal for the sun.
he who seeks rapid ascension
what knows he of meditation
floundering hither and thither
dithers as dark desires slither
fears shrouding him in contraction

I’m glad of April rain,
Keeping us indoors
Inside our rattled window pane
While the night storm pours.
The rain’s a winding sheet,
Shrouding up the night;
Inside we drink and talk and eat
By a fire built bright.
midnight was glowing
in recall of antique gold
huge yellow daisy
pleasures we once knew
when dusk daisy glowed redly
twirl memory lane
golden onyx dark
shrouding melancholy moon
awakens rapture
The hush before dawn
is fraught with poignant silence
as night turns to day
Trinkling sounds flow
through the air as the river
bounces over rocks
Deep silence abounds
and not a murmur to be heard
stillness shrouding all
A Long Goodbye
A vast familiar landscape
flutters and faulters;invites and departs
Fog slowly rolls in, shrouding present and past,in a harsh, lonely tomb

Curtain of mist
Shrouding the horizon,
You this day contain
Dreams and views unknown,
As of yet hidden in time.
Shiningly one entwines,
Waking from a thought,
Tendriled ideas of touching games.
Sounds that brush the being,
Duet the looks.
Fame
becomes your temptress
When hope
becomes a shadow
Greed
becomes your partner
When Plutus
blocks the sun
Darkness
that infatuates
Darkness
shrouding memory
Darkness
that incarcerates
Darkness
— ill begun
(Dreamsleep: October, 2025)
Clouds and dusts over the oceans
Shrouding the moonlight sands
Winds across the oceans
Galloping the midnight strands
Grains under seas and oceans
Sailing on floors that bonds
Creatures of the wild and holy grounds
Basin of hope and comforting hands
Dark ferality
slow strangulation
spiralling desire
shrouding us in fear
of our own making
No cure in sight
we slip in gloom
shadows seem real
noose around neck
In stillness
we embrace
love divine
Presence
then feels
Bliss

Here lies entombed a poet
Whose verses in ether lie,
He seeks no tears of mortals
Neither seeks a mournful sigh;
Gay blooms shrouding his gravestone
Are magical spells of his,
They'll drench your soul with nectar
And pints of heavenly bliss.

Effluviam drifts in, unseen,
bruised exhales moving through the day.
It rises slow, a toxic fog~
mist born from truths we didn't keep.
It rises quite invisibly,
shrouding thoughts then slipping away.
It moves with soft, corrosive wings,
rusting the clarity I seek.
Down where Golden Rods blooms
Creek runs to rushing tune
And mist rises on cool morns
Shrouding red Sweetgum leaves
Gentle wind blows through eaves
Sighing comfort not forlorn
Lazy sound so soothing
Snuzzle in relaxing
Listening to dove that mourns

The sobering sounds of silence
That's weighing heavy as it nears
The hungry breath of mortal death
That's preying heavy on my fears
Now terrorizes heart and soul
Clouding my weary eyes with tears
No going back when all turns black
Shrouding my weary days and years
Is the urge to create innate
or a passing mist, quirk of fate,
doomed to die, as we wingless fly,
in dream waves that will soon abate?
Questions: what, where, when how and why
spurred by mind, lets not bliss draw nigh,
shrouding soul’s light, caged in within,
ego spawned urge, which we decry.
Can we abdicate
thoughts that agitate,
which shrivel our soul,
burning like hot coal?
To whom do thoughts come,
that veil God’s kingdom,
shrouding divine light,
making day like night?
In-dwelling this form,
invite bliss pulse warm
to throb in each pore,
whilst keeping no score!

As the pastor delivers his speech
and religious fervour peaks,
our heart goes out to those marginalised,
for pale now are their fear fraught cheeks.
In the name of God, gathering a crowd,
witch-hunting the downtrodden and meek,
crass and callous is the cacophonic din,
shrouding love and light, each of us seek.
Florescent globe eclipsing heaven, shrouding earth
Perched on the precipice of space in airy dearth
Ringed with the growing pains of your shallow birth
Trumpeting over the solemn night's requiem with pomp and mirth
Bountiful orb brilliantly manifesting your inestimable worth
Waxing the dark divide with your silvery girth
SUMMER RAGING HEAT UNIVERSAL BURN--
homes slimmers in summer heat forest
found in the blazing pulse of time
constellations wrapped in the
motionless, shrouding, still
moon is on the rise
men shriek to her
thunder drums
gives thanks
cries

DEPTH OF RECOVERY
From the top of the den
I bring my humblest words
To raise you slowly out
And above this dreadful pit
Where the ladder I lowers
Is insufficient emphasis
As ascending tears
Labor my heart helpless
With each time
You take a glance away
From the beam of recovery
The pit deepens
Shrouding your values
Every night Sea rises at high tide
His waves are like warm frothy fingers
caressing Moon's golden glow on the shore
It's a game they play with ebb and flow
Hide and seek. She has a flirtacious streak
when shrouding herself behind a veil of clouds
Eternal lovers who share intimate moments
romantic thoughts ~ nothing more
~ fall
life aches
for much more
burnt umber
forest
floor
leaves
daubing
autumn's breast
colors drift
yearning
rest
bright
shrouding
aptly dressed ~
