The Sounds of Silence

The sobering sounds of silence

That's weighing heavy as it nears

The hungry breath of mortal death

That's preying heavy on my fears

Now terrorizes heart and soul

Clouding my weary eyes with tears

No going back when all turns black

Shrouding my weary days and years

Thanks Mr. Wolf, you should read "In the Dead of Night" on page 8. I think it's one of my better spine chillers. I appreciate the feedback my friend.

I'm going to have to read more of your poems now. Looks like you might have been doing this site for a while. Thanks for the sharing.
