Sentinels were gathered upon the pond

dressed in their best green beau monde'

Waiting to herald the birth of first bloom

as twins were whelped from Lily's womb

The Walls of Jerusalem

Sentinels keep watch
On the walls of Jerusalem,
Lord, protect and defend
Your chosen people.

Civilization Lost

Stone homes of ancient memories
Sentinels sleeping under white
Locked in a fading breath
Of the long lost keeper.
Life trapped in timeless glass
Glimpsed amid weathering bones
Outlining the ways of forgetfulness.

Premium Member Sentinels

Piney woods, perfume the forests; sweet scents waft upon the air. Great oaks share their strength; Popular poplars whisper lost secrets. In the great kingdom of trees, generosity is paramount.

Sitting stoically
Two furry faces
Gaze upon faded photos.
Once cherished,
Hugged, wept over,
Drooled on
Forever friends
Now
Silent sentinels
Chewed ears
Button eye
Pablum stained
Guardians
Of a fading
Moment.

God of the Black Flames

Silent sentinels rise from the tide,
bones of steel, nourished, refined.
Like Canti, a lord forged from the mind,
bound to the earth for the ones who cry.
Painted for the hymn of adults—
swinging a bat for freedom of lies.

Street Cred

Houses on parade
Guards to civilisation
A great divide between man and space
Escapism opposed to reality

Sentinels stand at either end of street
Neighbourhood watch
Dangerous tongues gossip
Prepare for another onslaught

Ghostly Sentinels

I sat upon a weathered rock

And looked across the fells,

Emerging from the morning cloud

Like ghostly sentinels.

The rising sun revealing all

In perfect clarity,

A wonderland of serried peaks

Appeared in front of me.

Trips of Autumn

Starry nights extol classical
staccato hues as hawthorn winds
pronounce timbers as magical.
Starry nights extol classical
violins sway as magical
sentinels praising summers’ end.
Starry nights extol classical
staccato hues as hawthorn winds.

Labryinth

Religious votives
light a somber lair.
A hole I fathered
with rhinestones of doubt
and swatches of fault.

Sentinels loom -
vapid gargoyles
crouch in ghostly
contemplation

ogling my
handiwork.
Poised to pounce

when the
flames die

out.

Sunset plum roses
All saffron day they waited
for hued goodbye thrills
when blooming time had stood still
Sunflower sentinels glowed

Pink sunset saga
I think heaven touched the earth
as silver poured down
Dahlias and lilies swayed
in the dusk at night's doorway

SILENT ROAR

Rose-hued sentinels blush beneath the azure sky,
While musings drift in amber's starry eye.

Anger, a serpent in the garden, slithers swift and sly;
Sapiens, cognizant of its venom, yet let the poison fly.

Train thy beast, lest it consume,
Not thy soul, but bonds that loom.

Journey

A knife penetrating through
My layers of sentinels
Mixes the poison
With my blood
Terrorized, lobotomized
I tread the path
Scratching the doors
No one to open
Surrounded by rocks
Bound to be crushed
Vultures pick up the pieces
Spat in disgust
Not hard enough
Could I become

Grief Unsayable

They scream a soundless soliloquy,
skeletal sentinels contorted,
once proud standards displaying jubilant banners.
The tidal push rushes in, out, in, out
about ashen bones,
marking where moorings anchored
before life swept away to sea.

The sunshine climbs up the rooted ladder smelling the midsummer umber sentinels, that stand tunnel watch over later comers shushing the interrupted lull wild that have succumbed to slumber. Scented mumbling of dawn's spiral seraph rose pink of light lumbers.

Dota: Leoric the King

Here I come, the one of a kind dark Lord!
I'm the one, criminals have waited for
The only one, all scourges look up to
Scream for me, your hero liquidator

The evil ones, wish they could be like me
Bad and strong, horrendous and so evil
The Sentinels, run in fear before me
For I am Leoric, the Skeleton King!

Premium Member Ruins Rise

bone like trees line streets of Hiroshima
sentinels, scratching the sky,
winter clipped memories ...

life from death arose
springing eternally up
rooting ever down
often bubbling forth from ruins
shadowing the beggar’s bride

who spits on the graves
but mad men dance and war on
bone tree remind us
