field of red poppies
shrine-like aura of petals
salute the fallen
Composed: January 24, 2021
they ring they sing
some ping
the reason
its love season
to share and to care
and the sick to get well
HEAR THE BELLS
all the time
your on my mind
i must say
''can't forget
my eyes or wet
it was must say
when yo went away
I
MISS YOU TODAY
Life’s Stones
iced wind cut valleys
etched in beauty of passing
stones chiseled by life

Time has come to say farewell.
I say thanks to you as well.
It was nice for me to stay
Here and work and learn each day.
its not wrong
to be strong
he'll help you too
frist you must do
is be his wall
so he will not fall
FOR JESUS
STAND TALL
The 'corporate suit' asked Elmer what his legacy might be
The grizzled man clammed up ~ He'd never had a moment free
Well done his bat of Tendulkar
Doing balls to role far and far
A statue now for him to tell more
Thanking for all his Six and four
Memorial Day
A story of
Remembering those
Who have passed
But remain
In story which
Is the same
Now as then...
I hear the flags whisper
Stiffened by a free wind
Blowing across a memory
Of friendship, of valor
Of sacrifice
Of freedom
A vampire known as Good Prince Harry
Set his fangs on the Virgin Mary
He took one bite
And saw the light
Combusting in the cemetery
Shadows only remain
Where life stood its ground
Far above their air
Its devastation burned down
(To all those who have lost from war...)
Gravestones lopsided
Forgotten behind the trees
Surrounded by grass
Sun crosses risen from earth
Crowned with some olive green mosh
Salute them,
those who served;
Bravery;
Every branch
bloody red,
white, and blue;
For freedom
the flag flies;
They gave all.

Written 28th January 2020.
In Winnegan, on the Moselle
There's a story townsfolk will tell:
A witch came to dine
She savoured the wine
And cast a prosperity spell!
Trump orders everyone to church
Or Governors will get the birch
Americans will pay
On Memorial Day
With God to blame, Trump ends his search
Your blood cries out to us
beneath a benign grassy grave
Yours was the ultimate sacrifice
all for our freedom to save

haiku, theme: WATER
Behind a broad fence
A grassy knoll in Dallas
Lone sniper waited
Changed the course of history
Possibly went scot-free, too.

I hate to say it, but it's true
You don't like me, I don't like you
It's good to graduate from this place
So I won't have to look at your face.
This is the one day they say
We must remember this day
All the fighters who have died
As well as those who have tried
Defending us to this day
