Ego
Egotistical,
a mystical being.
Lyrical,
haters feed my ego.
You see my horns?
Demoniacal,
I'll quiet the critic scorns.

What are you hating for?

The Last Laugh
Love laughs at life,
Scorns the scourging whip of years,
Dulls life’s sawing knife
And watersheds its tears.

Love smiles at death,
Soul withstanding soil,
Heaped upon the flesh whose breath
Expires. Love’s Death’s foil....

Premium Member Looking I Desire
Looking I desire
A girl at peace
Not fashion's face
Or passion's fire.

A girl who scorns to ask
Beyond what she can give
Who lives her life the way
She wants others to live.

Looking - do I dare
To trust such dreams
Or think that heart
So pure could care....

The sin of Envy-
   a sin of self-indulgence
that scorns everything
   one can't do or have.
Envy hates- feels entitled-
   whether earned or not.

The Silence
Heard it before
Hear it some more
Crave and endure
The silence

It leaves and scorns
Done it before
Left bait to lure
The silence

You've seen and mourn
And shown remorse
But can't ignore
The silence

Heard it before
hear it some more
Forever endured
The silence...

WOMAN VIEWED BY A MAN IN HEATED NATURN

I see you in the morn
See you in the spring
As summer warms
Brazing heats scorns
Your beauty rains
As my mind is clouded
Envision you drive me insane
As a man who vies a woman in heated nature

Premium Member The Same Song She Sings
the same song she sings

the pages to her heart
weathered, sad and torn
missing a beat from the start
now life she mourns

she writes and scorns
missing the boat
absence of feeding her oats
she cries the same damn songs
wearing the same damn coat
not once trying to right the wrongs

Nice and Easy
E-xpress the word nice and easy,
M-ake it gentle and true;
I-f one scorns your person,
L-et the hate depart from
Y-ou.

R-ead the poem nice and easy,
E-arly eighteenth of July;
M-ake it very careful,
I-t's a word war neath the sky.
L-et not the haste
L-ive in your memory;
E-nding the recklessness,
T-o make it nice and
E-asy....

Scorns in thorns

Moment of a Life Time
moment of a life time
the road of survival
is like the narrow
way to heaven

through this way
a lot soul has
gone six feet
so quick

what is our remedy
to brutality from
a brutal government

with this scorns of
dead bodies floating
on the sea of north Africa

is it just a show
oh no for too many
i swear is a
moment of a life time...

Ignoring the Sandman
Time is ticking by faster

And the clock hangs off the edge

But my mind doesn't move as quickly

It's blocked by a deadened hedge

You say that time is precious

And I believe it all too well

I wish I could make things more certain

But some things God will never tell

Eyes as bloodshot as roses

And ears that are prickled with thorns

I await the coming sunrise

Amidst my body's scorns...

Time, once our friend, now scorns all attempt
to remember those days that flew freely
Never knowing one day we'd be exempt
from carefree days, which were but fantasy
our daydreams only today's reverie

Time waits for no one : as said in a song
and each day, we realize these words more
For time, like the wind, has hurried along
with moments we can no longer explore
nor visit yesterday's once-open door

Let's Play Pretend
hazy pale substance
spreads over stale rye toast
you crunch it
too loudly
your mother says
chew with your mouth closed
paper napkins
in a big black trash bag
smeared with hor d’vers
cocktail parties you weren’t invited to
i laugh when
you drop food on your lap
your mother scorns
alone on a porch
remolding the moon
brie cheese wedges
you thought the stars
were too tiny to hold close
it was my party
i pretend not to like you...

The Ten Commandments
(fact contest poem)

The ten commandments are easily broken
By those who should of known them well
It's been broken like bunch a broken wings
Like thieves and devil's and demons and malpractioners
They play they games like scorns and home weckers
Like miserable sinners who assume they way to happiness is by ruin another.
The ten commandments are easily broken
By those who should of known them well
For they do ,that's why the world is at it's hell....

Nigeria
I wonder what a
country
Will be so blessed
With rich wildlife,
vegetation and
poultry
Yet it remains so
stressed!

Naija!
My country so rich
yet so poor
Sitting nicely on the
banks of the Benue
and Niger!
Fastly crawling onto
development yet so
sure!

Full of so much
beauty
Yet surrounded by
thorns.
What a sight of pity
Left by her colonial
master's scorns!

You will recover I
pray
From these
distractors who lead
you astray!...

The End
A young child loved by many
Hid all the beatings, lashings, and hittings
No one knew what "home" was like
Many could guess but ne'er one was right
Dreading every step that took her near
Her heart sank and filled with fear.
The door creaks as she so quietly walks in
And seeing what she saw, she knows it's the end
Not a teacher, parent, nor child from afar
Knows how bad these things are
Now a child in heaven silently scorns
For all the reasons she was ever born....

Grieving
Wisdom scorns while destiny forgets
The truth of reality suddenly hits.
Smacks you in the face brings you to your knees
Suddenly everything begins to freeze
Time flows by yet everything stands still
All your memories inside become unreal
Visions flash before your eyes
Tears of blood fall as your soul cries
Everything floats away but the pain always stays
Depression maddening for days and days
Inside you hurt you hurt so damn much
And all you wish for…that last touch...

A Lightning Scorns
If pure love reciprocates
Me the oblivion and worse

Couldn’t make it and if so
To thee are my words and glances

What if someone touches upon that ones
A lightening scorns….hııhh??

Been the reasons of the me-being
But a gun shot is to come to an end

Things bended, people surrendered,
But the winter is splendid

Someone will born from a varied presence
Not to bear thine treasure

Obstinacy of the flow of the lifelike
Maybe hinder thee somewhere dark...

Lost Child In My Own Home
In her home I suffer,
Rationed food and rationed wood,
Bread slices and rationed butter,
Scorns and all the words they utter,
Are some deepest of secrets you won't hear.

For I take that only form,
Of a lost child in my own home,
Assuming this has been the only norm,
Of having water and a plate of corn.

Her eldest kid sits by me and asks,
Do you have anything you own,
No, I say with a little frown,
Do you have parents,
No, they are long gone.
Do we do you bad,
No, I say....

Lethargic and listless
lacking all zest,
I lie on the rocks
under the blazing sun.
The calm sea kisses
the rocky shore,
but no sea breeze
breathes on me.
The salt on my back
basks and bakes
and turns an ugly red.
Nothing to it but jump
back into the cool sea,
tempting the jellyfish
to sting my feet.
But on the beach
the newly crowned queen,
the one who scorns me,
parades herself
scantily dressed,
all eyes riveted on her.
I wonder who's worse:
herself or the jellyfish!...

Listen to poem:
" ...betrayal begins with trust." Quote_ Phish

Betrayal is the cold shiny sword
of stalking deception,
sheathed in scabbard of trust.
Its two-edged blade is
honed to razor sharp,
ready to thrust, lunge and parry
a touche touch.

Betrayal is two-faced
and unreliable.
There's a switch blade in
the hand that reaches out
trustingly and faithfully
for more of you.

So as trust grows,
beware that it sows
the seeds of scorns
in the thorns
of treachery
and bribery....
