not living each day as though it were my last.
Wasting time, enumerating years that mount,
previewing God’s blessings to numerous to count.
At times I’m lower, “than a moles belly on digging day,”

spin round again
as if they had just come to me,
and had not been arriving forever.

Abandoned living-spaces excavated
from under the forgotten foundations
of elsewhere.
Places we leave our sweat in,
litter that never goes away,

stuff in pockets that once belonged
to a best jacket.
A best life thus far – but when?...

upon on an as is where is basis,
moment to moment, thus gently flowing,
realising oneness of consciousness,
we remain poised in silence and stillness.
As we shift from grasping to connecting,
in a continuum meditating,
limited ego begins to recede,

revisiting here for a few days is like my heart skipping rocks in a hot tub
my mind is in a sauna of contentment
my soul is on a wraparound deck overlooking lake whatchamacallit
chocolate covered paradise
vanilla based effervescence

The lake
That looks like a piano
On it sat 
Thousand cranes and two
Seemed like a moonlight sonata by the moonlight.

But why is my mind yearning forever
For the  unmindful musings?
I had been there once, nearly
Forty years ago.

They send me return tickets from Jhargram,
For the festive October,
Celebrating the home coming of our mother goddess
But they never take me to that childhood playmates....

jotted down in broken verse
   of when I felt.
When my body burned with passion and rage
when my loins ached or my heart broke.

Revisiting the epoch of life
trying to re-assemble the shape of those energies.

Yet I am still numb.

Apathetic and drifting on analgesia
the medicine my hysterias sought.

Humanity leached into distance and fugue.
Desensitized to the state of existence. 
I cease to be me....
