Crescent Moon
my arms are empty
my heart is full
my lips not kissed
my love not missed
my mind rambles
through cactus brambles
under the light of a crescent moon...

Raucous

Raucous, rollicking rain
Rambles on hills and plains,
Relishes rumbles in
Raptures of raw laughter,
Raindrops razzle-dazzle,
Rambunctious and rowdy,
Riots of rakish rascals...

Too Many Rambles
Too Many Rambles

Tiger Woods
Seems to have spread his “goods.”
His life is now in shambles.
From his extra-curricular rambles.

The Sun as sets
In evening weather
What everyone might bother—
The old memories,
Soon as there sets in the breeze,
And mind rambles from tether.

Lost amid now
He rambles
Alone
Searches
For footprints
Long erased
Frightened
By un-felt cobwebs
Brushing
Across
Darkened eyes
Reaches
To touch
Agony’s apparitions
Seeking
To be found

The Garrulous Little Girl
The garrulous little girl
Rambles her mouth at will
Very expressive in her speeches
Touching every heart it reaches
She is already advanced in her knowledge
She should be a stellar student in college
Always talking about physics and chemistry
Along with advanced history...

Return To Poetry
ingesting poison from an open wound
lethargic rambles in another dimension
death is not the end its merely and ending
hopeless and serene the paths converge
words tumble out of slashed mouths
fingertips burn into the synapses
i return to poetry with a stream of conscience
pyramids destroyed by ravaged boundaries....

Gas Station Lights I
Glowing gas station lights, bright
In the smooth endless night
The car rambles on
Down the desolate road
Many shadows have past
Where the indigo black sky is filled
Stars spangle the vault of heaven
Where it meets the horizons gated ledge
Alone on the road
The need drops to close so close to “E”

Almost empty…...

Meek moments make,
Impulse inks ice;
Crazy charm cakes,
Rich rambles rise;
Obsess old oils.
Streak sanguine stops,
Thrust troubled toils;
Observe odd opts,
Remind ripe rogue;
Yes yields yonder.
Yield yester yoke,
Ask apt answer;
Rest rowdy romps,
Niche nurtures norm.

The Well
I chanced to visit once a well
   Abandoned for eternity

Surrounded by a velvet sky
   It somehow beckoned me

From ages past the grass had grown
   And withered there to die

Replaced by shadows that beseech
   The coming passerby

And as forever rambles on
   Brief respite waits for me

Within this old and shallow well
   Eternity I see...

Colours in bloom
Easy breezy bubbles
Happy beyond troubles

Colours find room
Dizzy windy stumble
Cheery beyond fumble

Colours feed boom
Lovely lively rumble
Smiley surely rambles

Colours edge gloom
Savvy sunny staples
Frizzy sappy chuckles

Hurry Up, Nasa
A path of stars rambles across the sky,
in a broad, black ocean that breaks the eye,
little white dwarfs, giants both red and blue,
old stars slowly dying, and nebulae new,
planets and space stations, galaxies whole,
all just points of light in a void so cold.
Great stellar wonders that stagger the brain,
from this tiny planet, all look the same…

Hurry up, NASA! Screw it, I’m calling SpaceX....

My Published Book
I once was an author who had a blank book
Until my thought’s filled it that’s all it took
It now sits on a shelf I call it, “A Blank Look”
I have only one copy it rambles through my mind
I am going to donate it to science after I am gone
Hopefully they can publish it in a science journal
It would be my very first published book
With no hard work

Just a Blank Book and Look

“Not for contest”...

A Truth I Speak
I am not always the smartest
Often times I appear not to be smart at all
My mind rambles
My eyes skip words
My lips speak without hesitation
Stumbling over my sentences
Incoherent blabber
I crawl inside myself
Whispering reassurances
They are meaningless phrases
My insecurities wont allow
The possibility that I could believe them
I am discouraged easily
Even my feet are not smart
Clumsy and tripping over air...

Premium Member Why Do I Keep Answering the Phone
I do not get any words in
She rambles for the full forty-two minute phone call
I set the phone down a few times to do other things
She was still talking when I picked it back up
This has been our pattern for forever
I am not sure why I keep answering the phone
Except, today, she did inspire two new poems.
I pick up a pen and write with abandon
Getting all of my words on paper
The ones I did not get to share...

Fear
fear to uncover a mysterious pain
reach a depth of darkness hell
she blocked me out, and
heaped hills within hills
masked her ravaged heart
with forceful smile
her lips stayed shut, yet
spoken without a sound
crumbling body ruins,
banned from a touch of love.
wistful eyes drowned
in a floating tears
throaty voices rambles
with a shrilling voices
in a haughty wall, oppressed,
is where she lays in frail...

Emotions
Emotions run away with our minds
To take the form of stories

No need to see, no need to be
   The stories tell it all

We find ourselves so far behind
   The stories that we tell

Nothing left but stories

The teller tells it all
No one to hear, he rambles on

To ease his mind, the story goes
Of love gone by, and other woes

And those who listen, understand
But never hear the story told

Nothing left but stories...

Misused
My heart was a blank piece of paper
Crisp; clean; untouched
Waiting patiently to be trusted with beautiful words
Written by the warmest hands
Treasured forever like a sweet memory

But you came along and without permission
You wrote the harshest poetry
Cruel thoughts leaving imperfections
Scratches; scribbles; illegible rambles
Like too thick blankets suffocating me

Sadly I have learned
Few people believe in recycling.

Summer Stillness
Summer pastes
Reddened complexion
Stars twinkle through
Darkness vividly
Lightening closes in
Red tones spectrum
Lonely star shoots
Westward, quizzically
And stillness overcomes
The night's welcome glory

Night creates
With golden symphony
A dew drop falls
From a solitary leaf deflection
Squirming in sparkling
Triumphant nativity
While laughing brightly
In pleasuring suspension
As summer's morning
Rambles petulantly...

Atime
A time for peace, the dove replies
as over the tree-tops he flies.
A time of want...
grumbles, the angry ant,
A time for hunger, roars the lion
with his best tie on.
A time to stop, admire the view
said the giraffe in the zoo.
Silence speaks a thousand words
chatter all the humming birds.
Hee-Haw; hee haw brays the ass
let the time of laughter pass.
Tears come and tears go
rambles tortoise, oh so slow..
A time to live, a time to die
Though only God knows why!...

The Quiet Road
Streetlights light the way of a wandering fissure in the street.
It opens up a little more every night;
Heavy traffic cleaves the path open.
Destiny.
Persistence.
Wear.
                       ….everything breaks eventually

The soles of my boots are gentle compared
to what usually rambles down it’s back.

Tonight the road has a friend,
I am the only weight it bares.

Under this moon,
this road and I rest
in silence.

Birthplace
The brook babbles
and rambles
over the rocks,
tumbling down
past the cabin
among the trees
at the foot
of the protecting mountain. Under the watchful eye
of deer
and bear
and chipmunk.
In the intimacy of bedroom
the first desperate cry
of the newborn rises.
Searching with foggy eye exclaiming existence
pondering purpose.
Unaware
the gift of life
paid for
by the giftee
in moment installments.
In far flung decades
returning to birthplace
facing the final portal....
