Our Sons
Growing up
Big and strong
Our sons
They are not ours
For very long
Our sons
Once our little men
Our sons
Protectors until
The very end
Our sons
Our sons

Sentinels of the Sea
on rocky coastlines
stand historic lighthouses
beacons of safety
protectors of ships
their lights shine far out to sea
upon granite shores
keeping watch each night
sentinels stand on duty
making safe the way

Heavenly and Earthly Guardians
The
Angels
Watch for us
From day to night
Whether do you have
Faith in their existence
Protecting you through the live
Observing your steps from heaven
Although sometimes we can find in Earth
Special beings that are our protectors

She Was Ours For a Bit
As feral as the wildest beast
She loped away with claws
That could leap mountains
And did
We knew to not wait up
For she would be okay
She had a winged committee
Of angel protectors
She was ours for a bit
But she was her own forever
Living her truth,
No one held her back or ever tried...

The Government
People will die,
They always do,
But do they know,
That all humanity rides on them,
Our protectors and saviors,
They are supposed to keep us together and safe,
Not create a hellish nightmare,
And destroy us from the inside out,
The government has sworn to protect us,
Why the hell did we believe them?...

Protectors In the Sky
Archers in the cold rain
Holding their bows steady
Ready to strike at will
Warriors, the sturdiest
Women of holy peace
Protecting the innocent
Seen in the skies today
Watching over the pure
Keeping the weak safe
Archers of light and hope
Women warriors of heart
Timeless beings secured

Parents Are
Parents are guardians
that hold keys
to the unclaimed territory
of their children's minds.
Parents are protectors
from the wolves
that would devour
their imagination
and pollute their souls.
Parents are map makers,
helping children to navigate
the difficult journey of life.
And as we all know,
Parents are un.........

Life's Gardener
Life's Gardener
Multiply thou fruit
replenish thy gardens
beware of the locust
who feast upon destruction
nourish your seeds gently
consume lovely fragrances
show passion to thorns
for they are thy protectors
save flourishing roots
shower them with heredity
so they too may grow
to know of your love.....

Showing of Stars
Silence and shooting stars
Icycle wind
Spins me in every way
Beckons me in
Night of the deepest blue
Moon on my face
Air of the mountains
mingled with space
Winter is on the wings
Let's sip the silence
I'm filled with shooting stars
nature's compliance
Pines on the evening watch
Protectors elite
You by my side
makes this moment complete......

Who Are Your Poet Friends
10/3/2023
Those who communicate, not because you are new!
But ………………because they honestly care about you.
They are not those selfish, rabid, comment collectors!
But………………warm-hearted, loving, soul-protectors.
You know, they are part of your supportive team!
And…..………………celebrate all of your poetic dreams.

Pondering
A knock at the door,
unusual in the compound,
respect I assume?
I answer.
My dogs, guardians, protectors stand
facing in fanned out directions.
No one other, I can see,
is there,
yet they know, better than I,
something, in senses more heightened
with bared teeth
they growl.
Is it the reaver, I wonder
the invisible reaper come to call
teasing, or a leaving a clear message?
"It's time."...

Negative Image
I have lost faith love and respect for the institutions
We should have the grit to face our negative image
I am saddened by what is happening today
Why do agencies support elite class mafia?
I am extremely disappointed by intelligence
What they are doing is condemnable
I have lost faith in Judicial System
Guardians and protectors are foes.

Animal Protector Count
There are millions of animal protectors she said.
I had no words; but knew it was not true.
She can be arrogant, bossy and rude.
I kept my mouth shut.
Maybe thousands of animal protectors, she said.
Backing up slightly.
I did not speak.
Hundreds of animal protectors? She guessed.
If we kept going along these routes, she might
luck into the right answer. There are only sixty-two
that I know of....

Supernatural Energy
Cloaked in nature’s vibrations
words are powerful incantations;
Earth, air, fire and water;
Calling each one of the corners
protectors, defenders, warriors;
Yet nothing if we are off balance;
Crystals, herbs, and even chaos
each element holds integral purpose
sparking the seed of a spell;
Wind whistles through quiet trees
the unexplained a refreshing breeze
harmonized by supernatural energy....

Memorial Day
Whether volunteer or drafted
We thank you for your protection
We thank you for persevering our freedom quest
For preserving freedoms of others
Prevailing righteousness
I thank you for your service, I remember
We thank you for your service, we remember
You did not die in vain
You rest now in Jesus name

Our Protectors
Our true treasures
Bless be His Holy name
Our love remains
Elegance of love design
Echoed so clearly within our minds
Born of the Spirit
Our trains are quite exquisite
We reach far and near
Yet You are here
I thank you Lord, for your peace
Relief
Inspiring
Covering
Snowy summets
This love you gave it
Jesus Christ
Blessed Creator of life
Our paper planes went way up high
To catch your tears through Heavens eyes...

Plastic Oceans Glass Cages
Splash!
Down for another dive
But wait!
What is this?
No fish?
No turtles?
No sea life?
Just plastics
Plastics and dead coral!
Our oceans destoryed
My lifelong hobby gone.
Sea creatures kept behind glass
where grubby fat hands tap at them
staring with widened gazes
Sadness is not a strong enough word
Not strong enough to describe what we have done.
Protectors of the earth?
More like destroyers of habitats.
Don't let this nightmare become truth....

The Finest:: Policemen
cops, narcs, the fuzz
they are called by a variety of names
fearless brave men and women
players in life's violent game
they put themselves in the line of fire
each and every day
trying to bring safety and peace
to our lives in anyway
policemen and women
standing on the front line
protectors of the innocent
in the battle against crime
thank God for them
pray for them and their families too
the officers on the street
who wear the proud uniform of blue...

Her Protectors
He locked the doors and
shuttered the windows,
it came in through the roof,
or down the chimney,
he wasn't sure. All he
knew was his demons
had found him, alone
and vulnerable. No
strength could fight
them, no words could
discourage. He was at
their mercy. They
moved quickly, surrounding
the little girl he had
stolen, attacking him
on every front, at every
turn. He had no
choice but to run.
They may have been his
demons, but they
were her protectors....

Learning About Timida
"I go to Burning Man every year," Timidia told us.
My husband and I nearly spit out our coffee.
She was an accountant, unassuming, dumpy.
She wore shirts with plastic pen protectors.
Timidia attended Burning Man!
What?
In those clothes? I asked her.
She shook her head, no. "In no clothes at all"
I now picture her in a whole new way.
Wishing that she weighed a teensy bit less.
I go too, her Bohemian husband said.
He has hair down to his hoo-hah. No surprise here....

A New Memorial Day
2017 a New Memorial Day
My dear country is in disarray,
But its protectors protect it anyway,
Memorial Day finds them far afield,
Unable to laugh, unable to yield.
Lonely, disillusioned over news at home,
Cowardly violence, loud mouthing, moans,
Still they are stronger than these short term vents,
They sleep in sand, in rain, in tents,
Optimistic in their hearts what they are trying to heal,
God bless them today, past and future – that’s how I feel....

All That Are Tree's
Standing fearlessly beneath the sky.
A haven for creatures that fly.
The beauty of your many outstretched limbs
paint such wondrous pictures
in the subtle landscape.
Fires will destroy you so.
I would rather see
your natural state,
so free,
magnificent.
Strength and beauty so.
Climbing frames to the heavens.
Protectors and spies.
