She Was Ours For a Bit

As feral as the wildest beast
She loped away with claws
That could leap mountains
And did

We knew to not wait up
For she would be okay
She had a winged committee
Of angel protectors

She was ours for a bit
But she was her own forever
Living her truth,
No one held her back or ever tried

I am so into women-power. I raised three daughters, and I tried my best to raise them to be independent and follow their own hearts.
