A glance is enough - She is hot stuff
It is love of a fashion - This steamy passion
She bites off his head - So he is dead

Queen madame praying mantis dressed beautifully
after she eats her mates' heads off dutifully.
some have claimed that she acts snootily.
But I really like my queen who gasses out quite tootily.
green praying mantis
winged emperor dragonfly
spotted ladybug
dancing stag beetle
fat chubby potato bug
sneaky silver fish
purposeful black ant
yellow striped mud dauber
our insect line up
The Preying Praying Mantis
She folds her limbs and waits
quietly.
He comes near, she waits
silently.
They do the dance,
Then comes her chance.
And snap!
Off with his head
quickly!
Green longed legs positioned as a praying moment
Hidden between the foliage waiting for its prey
Male mate is devoured by female after courtship ritual
A predator that saciates with ground and flying insects

When nature talks
Who can say no?
Nature talks of human genius
Nature calls the rock of order
Nature talks to the king of the bush
Then it talks to little praying mantis
All respond “Yes madam, I will do it now”
Prissy pink praying mantis pretends no preference
Delightful dapper Dan, a suitor, gives her deference.
They dance a tantalizing tango with her cousin Ted.
Before the dance is finished, Dan has lost his sweet head.
A dead insect
Yuck!
The female praying mantis said.
Envisioning her tasty date alive when she bites off his head
He gives her a sweet smile
Unaware that to her
He is but a morsel best enjoyed
After they are wed.
Is the African praying mantis as murderous as the others?
I do not know what to say to my terrified quivering brothers.
She lets you mate and then bites off your head.
I guess they wanted to hear something else instead.
