Phase when the first day
Is not visible to eyes
Rises with the sun
Envision new beginnings
To plant seeds for the future

the end draws near

                    on another year

yet the new moon shines clear

Premium Member The last luck

The new moon, a time for new beginnings,
Like a butterfly from a cocoon,
Or so they say,
Are they right?
Will the luck last?

The Chair

The empty chair,
Still sits there,
Though many days have gone,
Since grandpa sat,
Upon its slats,
And smelled the new moon lawn.

The sun has gone down

The shy new moon has risen -

Moon Envy

Quarter moon strives,
grows half.
Half-moon yearns,
grows whole.
Full moon offers—
New moon envies:
half, whole, full.

Azure Silks Blown In the Wind

Floating towards new moon--
a blanket flecked in diamonds
slips over the horizon.
A sliver of light over
azure silks blown in the wind.

Premium Member Watching the New Moon Rise

Again, nightly watching,
One , Two ...
Then dawn and on ...
There then the change,
I feel the switch,
I sense her newness,
Feel a shyness.

clouds shield the moment
the new moon draped in midnight
                                           ...announces itself

For Nikko: Remember Me - Tails

TAILS

Under new moon,
Empowered fox
Devoured cow,
Wondered how,
Chewed hen,
Booed men,
Jumped on box,
Under new moon:
Werefox.

Premium Member Night Of A New Moon

This sunset's rays are reaching through the green trees in the neighborhood,
Eventually it will be night and I'll see stars soon.
Moonless, sparkling sky right above my mother's townhouse roof.

Premium Member What New Moon

With a princess, a prince I be
All around is everything
   and a large oak tree,
"'Round the tree we make a camp
In the cool evening damp.
But the warmth of us two,
You with me and I wth you."

Vulpine barhopper
bays pick up line to new moon

The Mother of Moonlight

Birth of the new moon
On the hands of sun
Fairly roams

A shred of sunlight
On the natural satellite
Makes luminous night

Sun, the mother of moonlight alone

Waiting On the New Moon

Morning purple as a crushed rose.
The river as calm as glass.
Quiet as sleep.
The sky and her twin, the river, run toward the horizon.
Where the river touches the sky, she blushes and the dawn comes.

Love of Father

Secure the love of father, don’t break it.By breaking father’s love one loses the light of God.Father’s love is hidden in his heart like the new moon.Love of father is only third in line after God’s and Mother’s love for ever!

This New Moon

this new moon with her red
cakes of beaded fragrance
i view the rusty images
of the young stars
above the crude sphericals
of thine fore-runner-abode -
how long have the stars
and the comets about thee
stood with watchful eyes?

Lover's Moon

The night was of crystal clarity
No clouds obscured the stars
A new moon graced the sky
And the lover’s moon was ours

A shooting star crossed the sky
And we both made a wish
Then I held you in embrace
And we shared our first kiss
