I cannot escape
The moon controls me
It owns me
And I am not myself
I am only his
I may wander to the shore
But just like the tides
I am always pulled back into the ocean
Where the moon can always find me
The night was of crystal clarity
No clouds obscured the stars
A new moon graced the sky
And the lover’s moon was ours
A shooting star crossed the sky
And we both made a wish
Then I held you in embrace
And we shared our first kiss
Form:
What’s a locked gate to lovers?
They breeze right by
on wish-upon-a-star and moon beams.
They slip under, through, or over.
Was there a moon that night?
Who knows? Who cares?
It was a fire-road, alright,
and we, a flame that leaves no cinders.
each crescent moon that has gone by
found you with your true love
each time I looked at the mocking orb
I could see you there together
silence grows like the moons in between
as it fades into each of its phases
each time I think I have put it to rest
the crescent moon shines down again
The moon it sparkles on
Wearing an Oh so lovely gown
It makes we wanna live long
Hoping to see a newer dawn
The moon it sparkles on
Amidst the spacely bay
I feel I am in dismay
Whenever I see it go away
The moon it sparkles on
The day I feel all blue
It gives me a brighter clue
Into lifes everlasting hue
The moon it sparkles on
Every night that does fall till dawn!!!
The purest of love
shows its rosy red face
to all of those who will embrace.
But, only when the moon is up-high,
illuminating the never ending sky.
The moon glowing
a fierce fiery red
it is flowing
filled with compassion and love
Ready to exterminate,
the darkness of hatred
and replace it with a bonfire of love.
This love has always been
kept burning on nothing but a single ember
Instead of the staggering bonfire
It should be
The night sky was clear and starry
And the nearly full moon spying down
Like a waxing Mata Hari
On the two lovers of the town
While they lay atop a mountain
On a large beach towel for two
Naked and anxious to begin
Their lovemaking long overdue.
Embraced, they seized the moment
That seemed to them like forever;
Intoxicated by their scent
Only hasten their endeavor.
They kissed and made love for awhile
While stars winked and the moon just smiled.

Moon over the vale
Paints a clear starry sky tonight
My love is fresh, free and
Paints a clear starry sky tonight
Moon over the vale,

LUNA (five Haiku)
just a ghostly form
riding a late august sky
moon and scattered clouds
i’m all by myself
september moon shining down
bread cheese and red wine
laura smiles at me
clouds part and the moon peeps out
i’m falling in love
looking at the stars
clouds part and the moon peeps out
all’s right in heaven
late september moon
beauty promises perfume
two falling in love
bathing in moonlight
the world a sea of shadows
bread cheese and red wine
