I like hot turkey
and fluffy mash potatoes
I like dinner rolls
and sweet deliciously ham
I like warm brownies the best
Tomorrow
Heals
Autumns
Nights,
Knitted by
Snow
Garments,
In
Violet
Iridescence.
Noon
Gazelles
Drink
After
You.

The smell in the air,
Fresh turkey, desserts, pie.
Everyone gathered,
To celebrate this fine day,
And appreciate the world.
cant wait for thanksgiving day
and the smiles coming our way
lots of good foods to eat
and family to meet
hope it wont be long I pray
This lavish table
is ready for a big feast;
I'm not dressed in black,
Pilgrims expressed their true faith:
I didn't travel far and long!
Hooray! it's Thanksgiving day
When family sits and pray
For the meal that's been serve
No chicken or bird
Oops, forgot this month was May
The delicious smells,
must only mean one real thing,
Thanksgiving is here,
It's time to be so grateful,
and to eat feasts with loved ones.
It’s that time of year
The turkeys are in hiding
Pumpkin camouflage
No matter their endeavors
I’ll be loosening my belt
If gluttony is a sin –
then count me in
I’ll ask forgiveness tomorrow
for leftovers again!

I gave thanks for everything on my plate,
but in my paradoxical state,
I deeply regret
everything that I "et"
or is the pronunciation "ate"?
O’ as the November woodwinds happily Thanksgiving blow,
let the Christmas joy, in our hearts, December evergreen echo
11-27-20
softly, my smile forms
as I look at you, haloed
in light of my love -
for everything I give thanks,
being here with you crowns it all
the blissful gobble
of a roly-poly bird . . .
turkey day looming

This antique house has old bowels
An attack could give us the scowls
The toilet must flow
And we want you to know
It’s bad if you flush paper towels!

As Thanksgiving nears,
in the midst of any storm,
let’s count our blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you Canucks
I'd send you a card and maybe some bucks
but I'm broke
that's no joke
Stay close to the fire and wear your mukluks
harvest festival
thanksgiving in November
cornucopia
celebrating abundance
grateful for gifts from above

May your hearts be full of thankfulness
May your bellies be filled as well and blessed
May you be happy wherever you may be
May you have love, hope and peace
COMMUNAL SUPPER
Set out in an upper room,
passover made new;
tender slowly cooked lamb stew,
wine,unleavened bread
with thanksgiving said-
A hymn of
Praise !
Big as a house,
Scared of a mouse,
With nose that grows
Down to its toes.
Fearlessly drives tusk into dusky musk.
Wisely buggers-off from the likes of usk.
we will eat and drink
in between we think
of all of our dreams
we've lost in the streams
our ups and downs
may bring us frowns
our hearts and souls
never pay tolls
As family détente grew eroded,
In the kitchen Mom cooked and got loaded.
Dad yelled, Mildred, the bird!
I forgot! she wine-slurred
And next moment the turkey exploded.
Poor, patriotic Samuel Lelune
welcomed November's Thanksgiving new moon
Snarfed turkey non-stop, onward from noon
ascended to heaven ~ human hot-air balloon
Men, women, children
gather around a turkey
Thanksgiving blessings
May I have a second plate?
Tonight I won’t stay up late.
