November Dreams

A red maple leaf
Gaily pirouettes for last;
Nestles on dewy green grass.

This afternoon fall
I felt closer to my dreams.
I'll see you on November.

beauty

becoming
     a blessing
to

a mystery...

I Wish It Would Rain

That gentle sound of the rain as it pitters on leaves..the fresh aroma as it blends with the earth..that chill of the morning's dawn..The feel of a woman as she nestles to exchange warmth..Sigh!!
I wish it would rain more often

She Must of Been a Butterfly

She must of been,
A butterfly,
The way her eyelids,
Flutter,
And her Beauty,
Caresses,
And,
Nestles,
Into the love,
Of your soul,
As if her wings,
Has relaxed,
Upon,
Iris petals,
Sighing,
With,
The moon

Celestial Skies

You
shine
for me
forever,
yes, I remember.
Your eyes hypnotize stargazers.
White-silken moonlight nestles in the warmth of your smile;
every night I ride your celestial-spun skies rising and falling from my restless dreams.

Perfume

PERFUME

Baby knows mother’s scent,
Find her in the dark, need be.
Mama’s strength’s all but spent
But baby nestles on her knee,
Head to breast well-content,
Imbibes perfume of famiy tree,
Loving there her essence, fragrance -
World’s best perfume in abundance.

Premium Member Green

Symbol of nature and youth, signifying hope for
eternal life and respect for the environment,
green nestles happily in the spectrum between
bright companions blue and yellow.

Nocturnal

notice the natural
                       nocturnal of the night-
           never has the naked
           nighthawk nested as neat-
                          neglected by dark, he
                          nestles with grace and need.
                 numb from twilight, he’s near.

Nightingale

The beckoning call of the Nightingale
Like the whistle of wind in a sail
Arrives on a spring days tail
And nestles like a cotton ball
Inside a trees hidden cloud
The hatchlings are so loud
Bumblebees covered in a honey shroud
But never so happy parents will be
When the fledglings leave the tree
The Nightingale nest empty

Premium Member What Fascinates Everyone So

the large bouncy ball nestles in the basket
the small bumpy one rolls into the hole
the hard, seamed one flies over the stadium fence
the ball that's kicked lands in the net of the goal

what is it about its round form
  that fascinates everyone so, that
as we grow, we often trade one for another
always looking to 'have a ball,' you know

In All Its Glory

A tapestry of colors collide
The blues the pinks nestles besides the yellows
Outside the porch the rose it climbs so high
It oversees the blooms so bright
The gentle breeze disturb the scent
Causes a reaction of just content
Each bloom stands proud in all its glory
A tapestry there before me.

Premium Member Moon Over Loch Ness

Gliding, as placid as a sailboat. Harming, no one. Mooning, the business of night. Glaring, the sight of something awesome — a barely visible silhouette, shimmering. Doppelgänger-eyes like moons, in the dark, could spoil the habitation of Loch Ness. Nessie nestles into her nebulous surroundings. 12/28/2017 Loch Ness Contest

It Feels Like Rain

The air is warm and nestles around me,
Grey skies lower and seem to sit on my head.
The finches are silent and perch low on the branch,
They seem to know the earth soon will be fed.

People are smiling and quick on their way,
This first drops hold promise of heady release.
This land so withered and parched by the sun,
Will soon know a measure of watery peace.

Retribution

As it nestles into her mind,
Like a untold secret,
She trembles.
As if all the hope and faith
She once had
Is slowly turning its back on her.
Fear and anxiety controls her instincts
She panics,
In an instant, she feels altered, changed, divergent... inhuman.
Like fuel,
Her heart ignites the fire
that torments her soul.
She’s furious
Her wrath, so potent, so lethal
Will eradicate those in her way.

Belmont Village

Belmont nestles deep
in frost's embrace,
children all will keep
watch for a trace
of gently falling snow
to set their eyes aglow!

Shrill melodic rounds
as pure as prayer,
curlew's song resounds
o'er bracing air
throughout the arching sky
where winged angels fly.

Churchbells toll us in
from toil and play
to offer thanks again
for one more day;
chaste blessings from above,
sweet mystery of love!

Dwelling in twisted tulips of fate,
I'm etching life's blackened stars beneath
Vehement veil of thunderstruck twilight, for,
Obsidian tornados have crushed affectionate shorelines.
Remorseful roses now unfurl like love's last perfume and
Crestfallen silence nestles in eclipsed eden, sighing at the
End of our poetic lifelines - lost within timeless agony.
