What Fascinates Everyone So

the large bouncy ball nestles in the basket
the small bumpy one rolls into the hole
the hard, seamed one flies over the stadium fence
the ball that's kicked lands in the net of the goal

what is it about its round form
  that fascinates everyone so, that
as we grow, we often trade one for another
always looking to 'have a ball,' you know

I never really thought about "have a ball" and "play ball" and "dance at the ball". You are giving me a poem idea Gershon.

Center cut Gershon, a strike, nothing but net, well a great write to say the least. Enjoyed the curve ball as well.

Awww...excellent play on the word, G.W. It is most interesting, though, the amount of our time we adult males spend playing with balls.
