Tell Me Who, My Beautiful One
What a shock
it was for me to notice
that the seaweeds and mussels
already began to grow
in your blue eyes,
What sort of crabs dared
to tell you so many lies?...

Blue Aquariums
With tear drops,
your blue eyes
already turned to
a pair of acquariums
where seaweeds and mussels
have fully grown,
I wonder when fishes
swimming happily
will come to the throne...

Lady From Brussels
An old lady from Brussels,
Enjoys a dinner of mussels,
Restaurants in the district,
Have hired chefs looking strict,
To ward off her annoying morsels.

I believe in the

the stronger he is

Time and gravity conspire to remind me I'm mortal and subservient to death its approach heralded by wrinkled skin, aching mussels and creaking bones, anticipating its arrival, I wonder which breath may well be my final breath. (Threesome) (01,05,2020)

Cockles and Mussels In Brussels
Cockles and Mussels In Brussels

The women wore trusses after having tussles;
They were embarrassed thinking that Brussels;
Did survive;
Came alive,
Only city that can serve cockles with mussels.
(Actually it was London fair city.)

The Chef
The chef stands before his pot
With measured ingredients in their lot
The garlic and chilli tease
As the cooking meal looks to please
Practice now makes the dish
As the table set to a tasting wish
Pasta, chilli and mussels done with care
Is there a place for me for such a fare?

Mad Dream
Driving along in my automobile
I looked up there was no wheel
Foot on the brakes turned to cornflakes
Found my self in the gym having a swim

Then I was doing weights
I called the instructor to put more on
There are no more mussels galore
Alarm went off with smile on my face
Another day in the rat race...

Before the virus came
    My family and I would
    Go to Italian Restaurant
    My favourite entree
    Is always mussels
    Only as an entree

    On special occasions
    This dish is served
    in different ways
    My choice cooked
    in white wine
    Or in an oyster sauce
    Either way its served
    I knew I will enjoy...

Seafood

Come sample King Neptune’s bounty. If it’s fish, or abalone, what you have is all great to me. Any food that comes from the sea. Scallops, calamari, lobsters, shrimp, crabs, clams, mussels, and oysters. If it swims, or lies on the sand, it’s sure to be in great demand To me, it all looks and tastes grand. It should not be kept for Friday. SEAFOOD IS GOOD FOOD ANY DAY.

Rock Concert
An octopus asked
a squid for some ink, to pen
a tentative tune.

Some turtles shelled out
for tickets sold by sharks.
Urchins snuck in for free.

The Sun dimmed the lights
on the Atlantic stage, as
dolphins waved moonbeams.

An orchestra of oysters,
pearl jammed with the mussels and
the clams crowd surfed.

A cool crustacean
grabbed the mic while a cod played
the bass on the rocks....

Pub
Flavors of the sea
Swirl in my mouth
In a tomato sauce
And pasta medley.
I, full of glee.
Music all around me,
Ambience feels so free.
This pub is the place to be.
The food so simply
Deliciously consumed.
The clams are shiny
The mussels so salty.
Swirling medley tastes heavenly.
Exquisity in its graceful serendipity.
The smell, the vibe, the colors.
Oh how I love music amongst
All voices of the others....

The Bomb Bomb Grille
The Bomb Bomb grille is a great place to be. This is a nice Italian restaurant in South Philly. The place has been around for more than half a century. It’s where to go to try out an Italian specialty. On the menu, you will see mussels and linguine. Their barbecued ribs will appeal to you and me. If the name “Bomb Bomb” appears as an anomaly, check out their website and read about their history.

Premium Member Mussel Garden
I like to eat mussels
both in red and white sauce
I sometimes eat them with spaghetti
no matter what the cost

And then I always do something special
with the leftover mussel shells
I place them in the garden
where they look so awfully swell

The neighbors and the gardeners
don't know what to make of this
but it doesn't matter
it's my gardening bliss

Perhaps I'll start another garden
with clam shells all the like
It will brighten up my day
at a lesser price...

Etching the Day
I love a room that overlooks
A river or the sea,
For, on a terrace with some books,
Is where I like to be.

A sunny seat, a view with boats
And birdsong in the air,
A husband who, upon me, dotes -
Why, nothing can compare!

A mid-day ice cream, browsing stores,
A walk along the shore,
A bowl of mussels, Guinness pours -
Well, who could ask for more?

But all good things must end, they say,
So now we’re heading home
And on the way, I’ve etched the day
Into my daily poem....
