Whom May 2k12
Whom may genuinely possess the master key?
Whom may unlock this heart's finest within?
Whom may Houdini I with such hidden key?
Whom may love this man for the man within?...

Cunning Sam craved to catch caged canary,
feigned sly not to be overtly scary.
He sneaked with dinner in mind,
caught in cage, Sam starved confined.
The bird performed Houdini sorcery.

With magic, let’s add in
“Abracadabra.” Was that said by Houdini?
Aladdin?

Wizards can cast
spells to make bullies be teeny
at last!

“Wish thrice,”
said the Genie.
Nice!

With magic, let’s add in
spells to make bullies be teeny.
Nice!...

Premium Member I Am Free
drawn down in
consummation
from heaven’s compost
I shall not be.

hacked as though
I were a succulent berry
juiced for the taking
I shall not be.

caught vole by a
diving shrike’s
talons
I shall not be.

I shall be Houdini
wriggling free.

Houdini Love
They say love is magical,
and I agree.
For something so strong,
so apparent, to dissolve
so quickly- it must be.

Just like that, there was
nothing.
No midnight words to
drown the sorrow.
No eager hug to ease
the pain.
No frozen kiss to form
the bridge to forever....

Premium Member I Can'T Type Anymore
I can't type anymore
  My fingers are sore
from typing too many poems

So I'm buying a boat
  I pedal, it floats
My fingers in lotion I'll stow 'em

Who wants to be tired
  Caffeine keeps me wired
Tell the literati that I will show 'em

How to escape
  sans Houdini-black cape
With a DIY cruise on the ocean...

The master maker of exotic sandwiches is Dagwood Bumstead!

Blondie (nee Boopadoop) views his masterpieces with dread!

He compounds his concoctions with everything from anchovy to zucchini,

And Bumstead could make them vanish faster than an illusion by Houdini!

Diarrhea In North Korea
Trump A Houdini

Trump had actually been a Houdini,
And we thought that he was a meanie;
After he did have a case of diarrhea,
He then ended up in North Korea.

Trump compared to Kim is much older,
And Kim's head equals Trump's shoulder;
One feature both had which was same;
Each tiny brain looked like it was lame.

Just for you Rohini

Alien
perhaps picking
too much it seems
my bellybutton wants
to untie itself from the in
side out but i socially have
always been an outy not in with
the in crowd though i have an inny

now too paranoid
to sleep keeping
an eye on getting
a larger gut what
would happen if
like Houdini my
body's greatest

escape from
the binding
cord is to
burst
forth
from
self

to
set
self
free...

Illusion
You played my mind
With that tricky style

That untamed shimmer in your eye
Leaves my world upside down

You disappeared like Houdini
And came back with nonchalance

You shared a new world
Then took it all back

You held me and soothed me
You whispered love to my soul

But you lied, and you stabbed me
Yet I stand tall, unbroken

You are too real to be real
Too believable to believe...

Red Black and Blue
Red Black and Blue

Don’t put your arms around me

Displaying phony comfort

Trying to convince me that everything’s going to be alright

Houdini, I’ve seen this trick before

And I know the way this story ends

Busted bloody lips, swollen black eyes & a variety of blue bruises

That stands out menacingly

For everyone to see

Not the gentleness of I love you

It ends in red, black and blue...

I Wanna Feel the Passion Between Your Legs
I wanna feel the passion between your legs
I wanna taste the beauty so deep in you
Like a sheet spread on a bed, spread over me
Tangle our bodies and lock'em with the key thrown away
Just you and me, not even Houdini could escape this.
I Love you so much I wanna take it out and hand it to you
Feel the weight, use two hands and understand
you created this like a baby in your womb
Feel this and know this is yours!...

No Houdini
Locked in a straight jacket,
Struggling to break free,
I have no escape route,
No magicians key,
Bound by the trappings,
Of life's locks and chains,
On the verge of breaking,
Trying to stay sane,
I'll lie here inert,
Maybe stillness is the key,
Perhaps someone will come,
Let me out and set me free,
I have no clever way out,
For I am no Houdini,
I have no great illusions,
I'm right here, why can't you see me....

Escape Boy
My grandson’s discovered Houdini;
He loves to get trapped and escape.
His grandpa knows just how to trap him
‘Til he wriggles free with not a scrape.

I wonder if Harry Houdini
Had a grandpa who’d tickle and tease,
Causing giggles and shouts of enjoyment
With every snuggle and squeeze.

If he did, maybe we’d not have heard of
The most famous escapist of all
For the fun’s being trapped, not escaping,
If you have a fun grandpa on call!...

Premium Member Huh, Miss
She slipped from among us
in search of good hummus,
like a whispery breeze
at the scent of chickpeas;
escapes for tahini
rivalled old Houdini.
Her nose for good cumin
was simply inhuman,
her longings, appeasing
on lemony squeezings.
She never found fault
with a good pink rock salt,
and oft was caught splurging
on fine extra virgin.
But she went on a bender,
took a shine to a blender,
sliced her tongue on that trough,
and her hum is still off…...

Rebel to the core
a story teller
brother in arms
we all march to the same reaper
bountiful the smiles
loving humanity
giver of kindness
the greatest Houdini act of all time
 all in the eyes
	all in the eyes
		all in good time

Black holes with no visions
ripping one from the inside out
finally there is only one path

To the lights
take away the darkness
	the pain
	suffocation

death is your only suitor
enticing you
your last dance

RIP...

No Meds
I was off my meds
And bouncing off the walls
Cops showed up, Maybe the feds
Said they'd received many calls
Yelling at people I didn't like
Nothing was said back, Good choice
My confused anger did spike
I made sure everyone heard my voice
Cops want to give me a vacation
"If you come you better come deep"
"I will let you feel my frustration"
Some will be injured, Most will weep
When they blinked with hesitation
I pulled a Houdini, And away I did creep...

Premium Member Courage of the Heart
How does a Wallenda fly on a trapeze
How does ‘Houdini’ escape with such ease

How does a warrior rise from his sickbed
Is it courage of the heart or that of the head

How does a marathon runner persist
in howling pain from a severe ankle twist

How does a fireman jump from six stories high
brush off debris and say, ‘Nothing’s awry’

Is it courage of the heart or that of the head ~
