I Can'T Type Anymore

I can't type anymore
  My fingers are sore
from typing too many poems

So I'm buying a boat
  I pedal, it floats
My fingers in lotion I'll stow 'em

Who wants to be tired
  Caffeine keeps me wired
Tell the literati that I will show 'em

How to escape
  sans Houdini-black cape
With a DIY cruise on the ocean

I think only what my husband always says will cure us all 'REHAB.' But which of us would swap poetry for a world cruise, well maybe a short world cruise but what about all the things on the boat, and ports you stop at and people you meet, bingo there goes our holiday, out with a notebook and pen. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

A do it yourself cruise might be harder on your finger than typing poems Gershon! Are you sure?

But first you will need to break the ice in Chicago (and duck bullets). Aloha!

Breaking the ice - no sweat. Ducking the bullets - uh-oh; that's a threat. ~ Harry H.

Though fingers are tired, I still can't stop myself! Is that an addiction? Well, let it be, I like it though. Lol.

I feel the ache in digit ends pressing the keys down . The letter 'y' doesn't always go down. Though written in a half humorous vein, I can sense some truth here, Gershon !

Your senses are keen, Valsa. There IS some humor and AND some truth in this one. Thanks, Gershon

Gosh, I certainly can relate to this one, gw. Sometimes my wrists flare up. I think it's carpal tunnel from spending too much time at the keyboard.

I hope it's not too painful, Milt. I have it in my left wrist only, kind of a permanent swelling. I've done nothing about it, of course. Why fix it? It still works. ~ Fool that I am
