my little hamster
has four tails
he runs on his wheel
all day long
he doesn't get tired
because he eats
a lot of food
Precious dog, hamster or cat;
Even Michael Jackson’s “Ben,” a rat!
Tarantula too? Imagine that.
rain less morning sun
a peen, charming hamster runs
under the lilies

things that were
things that are
things that will never be
all these thoughts
go round and round
like a hamster on an endless wheel
With complete freedom
to wear anything one wants
in public:
hamster ball.
Very dapper
sauntering the boulevard
in one's hamster ball.
Freedom is priceless
But does come with a price tag
Which debt do you choose
The worlds hamster wheel approach
Or....life outside of the box
There once was an old hamster named Neil
Who, when he ate too large of a meal
Would rise from the table
And say he was able
But then he’d fall asleep at the wheel
Mondays are usually a drag
while Fridays burst with excitement without fail
~ we’re hamsters at the treadmill

Dear Santa, I want a Hamster cage,
A small one with exercise wheel.
You brought one for Roger last year,
Please do what you can, I appeal.
Dad, Can I have a Hamster?
Repetition can surely drive us insane
Music for nature programs same old same
Wanna smash the TV
Stab my sweet wee kitty
Do all kinds of insane acts, set my hamster aflame
I wish I was a hamster
storing food in my cheeks
or a pretty caramel mouse
that sneaks and readily squeaks
I wish I was a lizard
or a horn toad
running in the desert
with a heart of gold
Can you believe this amazing crazy limit
Nightingales flap their wings 60 times per minute
Holy crap that's faster
Faster than a hamster
When needing to pee they perform like a gymnast
Can you believe this amazing crazy limit
Nightingales flap their wings 60 times per minute
Holy crap that's faster
Faster than a hamster
When needing to pee they perform like a gymnast
Hairy little rodent,
Happily nibbling seeds.
Hungry, he stuffs his cheeks,
Hoarding food for later.
Having rested all day,
He now proceeds to play.
Hear him now on his wheel.

Sinister Tight Wad In Westminster
Someone sat that he became sinister,
When called tight wade in Westminster;
Where he did go,
Was called a weirdo;
In plate he had placed his pet hamster.

Onward steed! Warrior Hamster said with a snap.
The rooster stepped in doo-doo and yelled out “crap!”
Hamster did not care, he had heard bad language before.
It was part of how hamsters talk when they go to war.
When I got my hamster,
I was really happy.
I couldn't keep my happiness in.
I loved my hamster
As much it can be loved
She looked at me,
She squeaked at me!
I named her little Laila!
I kept her, and gave her love!
There must be more to life than this,
I heard a hamster squeak.
All I do is sit around
With food stuffed in my cheeks.
I’m fed up with that wheel, too.
It doesn’t keep me busy.
Why do people think it’s fun
To make a hamster dizzy?
I
like dogs,
cats are nice,
rats not house pets.
Lizards, rabbits, snakes make me sweat and shake.
I would rather have turtles or pigs.
No hamster thou,
and no birds,
get a,
fish!

My little cat
is a fat cat
he does chase the rat
which lives on the dirty mat
My little dog
is a loyal dog
who like to bite a log
even in the fog
My little hamster
is a scary hamster
which will turn to a monster
but it is still a hamster
My day-brain opens its hamster cage;
mind finds its eyes.
I am still downloading.
I have a whole fictional life to remember,
otherwise,
I might see myself as an unwritten poem.
Open-mouthed I wait, uncollected,
for the drool of being.
The Endless Wheel
Hamster like, I run all day,
too bad it is not for play.
I make my wheel to spin,
wonder, when will it all end.
I try to grab my tail,
but, in the end, I will fail.
I play catch up all the time,
but, in the end, I’m still behind.
what
are we all
doing here
on the sideline
damaged
needing repair
in a lineup
getting processed
waiting for a tuneup
our turn thru the puppy mill
longing to rush back
pick up the pace
speed spinning
our hamster wheel

My cat Motivation,
only moves when she’s attacked
by my old dog Ambition.
We keep him out back.
My snake’s called Potential.
I’m afraid he’ll get loose.
My turtle Confidence
is a lonely recluse.
I had a hamster named Past,
But he bit me too much.
My goldfish, the Future?
Gone in a flush.
I will never get married again
I hate men!
This is my cousin in between husbands.
She has had six so far, trying to get it right.
The rest of us can see her error.
She always goes to the same rock
Looking for snakes under a barstool at closing time
Not unlike a hamster who only has one wheel.
